An Arkansas school director was sentenced to 30 days in jail, 120 days of house arrest with electronic monitoring and nine years of probation after prosecutors accused her of being the “ringleader” of a makeshift child fight club.

Not really a bizarre headline but it’s laughable because it is so stupid. A petition to ban hunting and fishing in Oregon has gathered 125,000 signatures and may be on the ballot in November. It would also ban raising livestock for food.

Good job, PETA. Way to make yourself look stupid. Nothing like getting more conservatives to the polls to help elect people contrary to people you support who have nothing to do with this idea.

No kidding. Hunting and fishing usually pay for themselves and a bunch of state wildlife and natural refuge maintenance.

I think we all agree animal abuse is wrong. I get they oppose killing animals for food. But there is zero chance hunting and raising animals for slaughter is going to end. Supporting ridiculous causes like this (and this is one of their less stupid efforts) just gives animal protection a bad name.
