Im not the best at reading plane traffic so please, some help.
Did that flight not originate in Boca and fly to Tuscaloosa?

It was a round trip: from Tuscaloosa to Boca, then immediately back again. You can't just look at the most recent flight; there were two recorded this evening.

The plane was only on the ground for a few minutes. Has to be a pickup/dropoff. Unless Saban is missing from Miami tomorrow, my gut labels this completely unrelated to any coaching search.

It flew from Tuscaloosa to Boca Raton at 5:09 CST and arrived at Boca Raton at 7:37 EST. It took off from Boca Raton at 8:09 EST and arrived at 8:42 CST. So that leaves about 30 minutes? I wouldn't look too much into it.

Unless of course, Saban cancelled his press conference today so that he could go home and pack and we picked him up and he is in Tuscaloosa right now!

You can't blame me for wishing.

Just a thought, but as was mentioned at the onset on the search, there's no way we allow public knowledge regarding a plane trip with a candidate unless we're flying him to Tuscaloosa for a press conference. With regards to Saban, it would be quite foolish for him to participate in such at this time... I believe I have understood there's a stiff penalty before the season ends.

i really doubt there's anything to this. from what i understand, MM and the BOT have at their disposal a plane that CANNOT be tracked(at least publicly on sites like flightaware.com), and that it has been used during the search.

Under the circumstances we might do better to import some organs rather than export them. But then your post didn't specify which way they might be going.

That's very good news. Between that and the way the search is being conducted- without many of the leaks- it leaves me very optimistic about the pending announcement.

I don't mean that as confidence any one person will be hired, but instead confidence the search is being well managed, and will produce.

So? Why can't both of my statements be true? I have it on very good authority that the university does have access to such a plane. At the same time, You must agreethat ANY private flight from t-town to Miami is at least worth scrutinizing, wouldn't you? Please note I did NOT say why the flight was going to Miami, I merely pointed it out. The mention of the neinas group was meant tongue in cheek.
