Magee?? Well some of the players I'm about to list probably played against y'all in the state championship a few years back. (I'm from Amory)My school can't compete with most of you guys. I'm from a small school in Magee, MS
Kyle Wallace (Miss. State)
And a kicker to Troy State, but his name escapes me. That's about it.
Very very true. Although he's not that bad off. Last I checked he lived next to a friend of mine in a pretty decent house and I forgot what he does for a living but it's not that bad. Him and his wife and a young un and are doing pretty good here in town.Rufus French is one of the saddest stories ever, From All-American TE to pumping gas within 365 days . . .
He shoulda stayed til his Sr. year and bulked up a little bit so he could have played in the NFL, the lure of millions was just too much for him though . . .

I was there, too. DHS had a 1st down inside the M.B. 10 with less than a minute, no timeouts, and didn't score. Major had about 270 yards rushing.I'll never forget a playoff game against Decatur, when Benny Perrin was the QB there. Time was running out in the first half, MBHS had the ball about midfield, seems like it was third or fourth and long. The call? A draw play! Major dragged a couple of defenders into the end zone....
Whew, I think I intentionally forgot that part, but you're right, Tex. From the visitor's stands, DHS was driving to the end zone on my left, as I recall, when time ran out. Major's half-ending TD was to my right.I was there, too. DHS had a 1st down inside the M.B. 10 with less than a minute, no timeouts, and didn't score. Major had about 270 yards rushing.
