exactly what i was thinking.....it got waaaaaay hotter after the north end zone expansion.if you think its hot at BD now just imagine how hot its gonna be with the expansion....
Be a Bama Fan. Or the UA can refuse those dang games at high noon.exactly what i was thinking.....it got waaaaaay hotter after the north end zone expansion.
With hanging Seats! And once the south side is complete, we can start building the dome.
I hope you are kidding. In my opinion, a dome takes away from the atmosphere. Football should be played outside under the sky no matter what weather conditions. And once the south side is complete, we can start building the dome.
That'd be almost as bad for the students as when they closed hackberry.I can only imagine the construction phase when they have to close Bryant Dr.![]()
As for design, just mirror the north end zone. Raise money? Place a series of collections plates, or even jars, in strategic locations at BDS during home games. The new addition will be paid for before the end of the season. :cool2:Yea, and parking, hotels, etc.
It'll be a while before they begin. They have to settle on a design, raise money and all. I kinda hope it a few years myself so the roads/streets, parking, etc to catch up with 92K.
For those on the east side, enclosing the South Endzone will without question help with the sun because it sets from the southwest during football season and that will help big time! It will even help with the east upper. Now if they could only find a way to filter out some of the blaring sun for those in the East side seats.![]()
i get what u saying, but the students need more tickets. they (or i should say we since i am a student) dont need 25k tickets, but close to 20k would be nice. all i know is that kids that grow up fans there whole life (and more times than not students at colleges go to the college they grew up rooting for) and the incoming freshman get HALF the home game tickets. thats messed up. i am not trying to start a student fight again cuz those threads have been already posted in the past, its just that each fall students get screwed over and for the amount of money our parents shell out to the school we deserve something in return. The issue is decking the south end zone, not merely adding seats to the lower bowl. When the south end zone is decked, if things go as they have gone with the other exansions, the top few rows of the lower bowl beneath the new deck will be lost initially, and then replaced with new seating. My personal opinion is that none of the new upper deck seats will be allotted to students; however, the student seating would certainly be increased. Unless something has changed in the last couple of years, the capacity of the student section is set as a specified percentage of the total capacity of the stadium. I do not know what that percentage is; however, for the sake of argument, let's say 15%. Assuming a total stadium capacity of 100,000, the student section would be 15,000; however, it sounds from your post, as though the student section is already 15,000. Therefore, the percentage must be higher than 15%. Regardless, rest assured that the capacity of the student section will never equal the number of students enrolled at the Capstone. It's not going to happen.
