I haven't seen this asked yet, but if its a repeat, forgive me but humor me.
I'm thinking that CNS is going to want to establish a ground game as a soon as possible to keep our receiving corp open and pressure off JPW. I think he'll go draw play, what with everyone talking up our passing game in the spring and summer. It would be nice to take it to the house that play as well, but I'll really settle for 3 or more yards. What do you guys think?

One of the more interesting questions asked since the hiring. My prediction is a plain old slobber knocker off tackle play with Terry Grant as the starter. My thoughts are that Saban will want to make a physical statement with the offensive line right off the bat.

"Darby up the middle" and "new zone blocking schemes" are phrases that wake me up in a panic stricken sweaty mess! I hope to never hear those words uttered again!
I had to pull out a brown paper bag when that thought crept into my mind. I know CNS likes the physical play, so I'd guess it'd be a run. But then again, CMA seems to like an open field air attack, so we could try to catch the D napping with a play action pass.

I'm going with you, play action pass, throwing deep to DJ. Starting his tenure off with a big..........

:BigA:My thought is that Saban will want to do 2 things on the first play, 1) something power oriented to establish the line of scrimmage, and 2) something with a good success factor to build confidence in the offense. I am thinking something of a power stretch run off Andre on the left side. Then, you can come back with the play action pass. I am speculating that he would want to see something successful to build on and use to motivate the rest of the game.:BigA:

Last I checked, I'm pretty sure we're able to. Unless the NCAA has some new football rule designed to help accomodate TV ratings instead of the actual playes on the football field.

The first series (starting from our own 20) will consist of 19 consecutive I-formation running plays into the middle, each play gaining 4.2 yards, with the the entire TD drive taking up the entire first quarter.

The next series we will come out with a 5 WR set, at which point the Western Carolina DC will curl into a fetal position and suck his thumb for the remainder of the game.

Interception for a touchdown. The best offense is a great defense!
