Coach Saban said that it appears that Lowe had a successful academic appeal and it looks like he will be able to re-join the team.

In that capacity (kick returns) I don't believe that is the case. At the WR position that very well may be true. Either way, it would certainly be a big boost to get him back on the team, he's a playmaker anyway you slice it.

add maze to that combo as well. he has been doing VERY well in practice both both catching balls with the wideouts and fielding punts and kickoffs...so even with lowe coming back i just think that he has impressed his teammates and more importantly the coaching staff too much this fall not to see the field this year

I think this gives us the chance to redshirt Maze so that he can get bigger. This is huge news to me I think Jonathan can contribute. Just when you think things were crazy it just gets crazier with this news.

Won an appeal????? That alone could him legendary to the Bama nation. Returning kicks can be worked into in short order and he is as DANGEROUS as anybody on the roster. Great news.

Great news!!! I enjoyed watching him at A Day and really hated to hear he had academic problems. Glad he's got it straightened out. But lack of practice time does hurt him. Maybe not so much on kick return though..... that's mainly just natural ability.

Then it becomes almost like a tennis match between Our St and their O. All we need is our D to "break serve" and i could handle just having runbacks :smile:

Mississippi State transfer expected to report today

TUSCALOOSA -- Running back Jonathan Lowe is expected to rejoin Alabama's football team today when walk-ons report for the first day of classes.

Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban said he received Lowe's summer school results Tuesday, and was "pretty sure he will be (out there)."
