Star Jackson says he is down to three, Auburn, Alabama and WVU.

Is this aMaZiNg athlete still considered a "lock" for us? The last interview he gave made it sound like he was a silent commitment. This "list of three" doesn't make it sound so solid. Any inside information?

RTO has said "no worries" concerning Star and his announcement. That is as bold a statement as you will get around here. SJ is a phenominal QB, as indicated by his performance at the elite 11 and his review by that "evaluator guru" from rivals.

Most believe he is 'bama bound and is using this press conference to garner attention for his high school, a refreshing guesture if genuine.

He wont go to the barn and I dont think he will travel all the way to west virginia. If we dont get him now, itll be a complete shocker.

I'd be very surprised if he didn't commit to Alabama on the 2nd.
Actually Jackson is announcing his commitment on Sept. 3rd at his High School. He and teammate OG Joe Looney are visiting West Virginia on Labor Day weekend. I believe they are going to be at WVU's opening game against Western Michigan.

Obviously anything could happen on his visit to WVU but I am looking forward to some very good news for Alabama on Labor Day. ;)

No, that's not why he moved the announcement date back.

And thanks Surfer for the correction!
Well, he backed up the date. And he just so happens to be going to a WVU before the announcement, which would have been impossible if he kept the original date. I'm just putting 2 and 2 together. Could mean something or it could just be coincidence. Either way, just doesnt feel right. Why go to their game if you've already decided and just wanna push back the date?

I noticed a difference in the scout vs rivals profiles for Star Jackson. Scout has him down to 3 Alabama, Auburn and West Virginia. Rivals has Miami Fla at the top of their list above Alabama. This would lead me to believe he has High interest in Miami and medium interest in Bama. I do not have a subscription so I cannot see the interest level. Does this mean anything or is it just rivals playing with us?:conf3:

Star has medium interest in UA, AU, WVU and UM (no offer from UM). For some reason Miami is at the top, but still listed as medium interest. I can see how this is confusing, considering they usually list the teams in alphabetical order unless the interest levels are different. You can check the interest level of a prospect on BOL by searching just Jackson and scroll through the prospects listed until you find Star and under the "Schools" column click "lists" and it should bring up the interest level for each school.

It doesn't mean much. Tyler Love had all his teams with equal interest, however, before he committed it had Florida at the top. It must be a glitch or something.
