Bill Curry is a pompous windbag.

Re: Have these Bill Curry comments made their way to Tidefans yet?

I still believe that Curry was the 1st bad coaching choice Alabama made. If you can't beat Auburn year in and year out it don't matter if you have a winning season. Listening to the radio the next year after he was gone I remember Doug Layton and John Forney telling that the records of who we were recruiting was destroyed and if not for Jim Fuller, Coach Stallings and his new staff would have had to start all over on the recruiting trail. Curry has never gotten over the fact that Bama wouldn't give him a pay raise after his 10 win season. Too bad he can't just move on and understand that we never missed him.

I'm sorta hoping that he did say or write that. It will have the desired effect as bulletin board material for our guys, much like the Pat Dye, "man enough" comment.
The more we win the more the Curry's of the world will steam in their own juices. Roll Freakin' Tide.........

Curry is the biggest windbag in college football. Who cares what that goofball thinks.

I think it is abundantly clear to everyone that this Bama team has weaknesses but so did the 1980 USA hockey team. Anyone remember what they did?

I am going to enjoy the success and grit of this team and enjoy the progress this coaching staff is making with this program. I am certainly not going to let any of these talking heads dampen my enthusiasm!!

No one has been able to confirm the validity of it yet? I have serious doubts that this is true.

Show evidence.

Well darn! Of course we are for the most part all drinking the kool-aid right now.We are all crossing our fingers and hoping that the defense will miraculously keep us close and the offense will continue its improvement and we shall never lose again*S*As for Coach Curry , his comments are supposed to be both analytical and controversial it is what drives his present profession.Sometimes he makes me want to turn down the sound. That being said he is much too good of a man to have had a brick tossed thru his window.I for one am and always will be ashamed of that incident . I choose to believe there is less venom there than some may think and hope his comments can motivate the team. Maybe he IS trying to send a subtle "those boys aren't man enough to beat Alabama message" *S*....I'm late for therapy........RTR

Re: Have these Bill Curry comments made their way to Tidefans yet?

Coach Curry left here 18 years ago. Can we let it go?

Coach Saban himself has admitted that we are overrated.

We are wafer thin on defense and beat up to boot.

I live in Georgia and the local fanbase didn't take the loss to Visor Dude very gracefully. UGA has a lot to prove in this game; as much, probably more than we do.

A lot of teams have come into Bryant-Denny and beat us over the past 10 years.

Only LSU and UF have outrecruited UGA over the past 7 years

They have a good quarterback who undressed Auburn last year as a freshmen.

Billy Curry likes to hear himself talk but I don't see where he is too far off in his prediction. This game scares the daylights out of me.

If coach Curry wants to dish it out then he should be prepared to take it. Nobody is holding a gun to his head and telling him to make derogatory comments about our program.

He has repeatedly tried to make the fans out to be a bunch of manical idiots who are incapable of objective thought. He also goes around pontificating about what is best for Bama and how we should run our program. The man did not have a clue when he coached here and he uses the fans and others associated with the University as scapegoats to cover up his own ineptitude.

His predictions are without merit. He knows less about X's and O's than I do.

Rant off.

Re: Have these Bill Curry comments made their way to Tidefans yet?

This was in an email I just got. Hopefully these find their way to the team soon. Apparently that brick hit Bill Curry upside the head, because he is insane.

There is always the "LOSE" column.
I think it will be a good game though.
They have good talent but not an offense like Bama this year.
Those comments make me mad too.

Oh my god! Curry has me wishing I had thrown the brick! What a jerk. He's a horrible commentator and an even worse journalist. Bill Curry is the perfect Bama basher for ESPN to employ because his words/lies will carry more weight with viewers since hes a former Bama coach.
