Well, another regular season is in the books and after cruising the various BAMA forums and reading all the various takes on the state of Tide football I have came to the conclusion that there should be two more forums for BAMA football fans. I propose:

KKK, or Keyboard Koaches Korps. - This forum would be restricted to only those fans who are convinced that they know more about CFB than any koach in the land. They are easily identified as they are extremely proud of their unparalled knowledge and eagerly demonstrate it at every opportunity. They take great delight in questioning the rationale behind every game-plan, starting lineup, depth chart, assisant coach hire, substitution and especially EVERY play which is not successful. Somehow they manage to juggle all this while still maintaining their careers. The amazing thing is that their careers run the gamut from fry cook to CEO, from tire changer to college professor, from trash man to politician which are sorta the same except the trash man has a much better work ethic and is more dependable. The only drawback keeping a school from tapping into this vast reservoir of gridiron acumen is that they usually only vengture their opinions AFTER the fact. Nonetheless, it would be a great service to everyone else if we could segregate all the KKK members onto one forum and spare the rest of us from having to wade through their constant rants.

We could even have a contest to pick a name for the KKK moderator, think of the possibilites. Grand Poo-Bah of Bunk, Imperial Wizard of Useless Info, Exalted Ruler of Drivel, etc. Any suggestions?

DOH, or Dense Old Homers. These are those guys that before every season can be easily identified by their constant claims that BAMA will go unbeaten and win the SEC and NC. They proudly claim that they've NEVER entertained the thought that BAMA might actually lose a game, in spite of the fact that graduation gutted both sides of the ball, there's no kicker or punter worth a crap and no return man faster than a 4.9 in the 40. They're supremely confident that the walk-on 5'9, 145 lb. QB with 5.2 speed and a noodle arm will somehow persevere and will lead the team to a perfect season on will alone. The folks can be easily identified by their constant rants of "WE ARE ALABAMA."

Their forum wouldn't even need a moderator because none of them can ever see a problem with BAMA football and they would never have anything to disagree about except possibly the margin of victory.

KKK or DOH? Can anyone think of any other new forums for the BAMA nation?

I propose the "Bear's Den" Forum for all the people to post "how the Bear woulda done it" and the "Backup QB" forum for folks to post why the backup should be playing over the starter.

Also the "Where to watch and listen" forum so people can keep asking every week what channel the game is on.

How about the "How did I ever get on TideFans when I can't do a simple Internet search for anything before asking here" forum?

How about a thread for those that talk about heart. While most have never met any of the players, they know he has heart because of two minutes on Crimson Tradition. When in all reality, he is just small and not talented. ;)

Corn, John, bayou - ya'll are all hysterical.

Oh and I love the reference to how we just "decide" who's so this way or that, personality-wise or character-wise, etc without even knowing them personally. I personally know a fairly recent former QB for Bama who has such a draastic opposite "public" personality vs the real one ... & Oh Lordie... the real one is one you wouldnt' want to be around ... I know - it happens - but hey - whatever makes people happy to get all excited about...

How about the "Overhype Forum" for those guys that think every player is the second coming because he looks good in his highlight video?

I've yet to see a highlight video that makes a player look bad.

With a sub-forum that debates why in the world Justin Woodall and Jimmy Johns aren't playing. They must be injured or the coaches have not given them a chance because we all know they will be GREAT!

No Jimmy Johns gets his own full forum with sub -forums discussing why he could be better suited to play in the NFL at each position !!
As well as one topic discussing the hybrid super-multi -pupose line-running-backer-kickingqb combo that the CFL is going to create just for him.

(Provided that Vince McMahon does not just create a league solely for JJ and Rod Smart (He Hate Me)

Great post. There was a member a couple of years ago(he is still with us) that got into an argument with anyone that predicted Bama to lose a game. His logic was that "True Fans" should never expect Bama to lose a game and though shall not predict anything other than undefeated season even on a thread titled "What will Bama's record be?" It got me thinking to what kind of mentality existed in this type of person. It finally dawned on me that it was the morphing of Bama football and religion. Picking Bama to lose a game was simply blasphemous in his mind.

It's fans like this that make us look stupid to the world

The Hee Haw forum for all who see that the sky is falling every moment that anything not wonderfully positive for our FB team happens. Theme song: "gloom, despair, & angony on me..." from the old HeeHaw TV show. The guy who sat behind me at homecoming should moderate, though it wouldn't be able to be a TF sub-forum because he was apparently incapable of completing a sentence without some serious profanity. Not that one has to pump sunshine at all times, but this would be the forum for those who are incapable of ever seeing any positives.

93 Sugar Bowl? "Yeah, but we gave up those points & had some clutch penalties, so..."

Beat UT by 24? "Yeah, but we gave up 17"

92k at Spring game? "It's just wrong that I had to wait in line to get CNS' autograph; I've been supporting this team at the end of every single national championship season..."

LOL! It never fails that members of the aforementioned fraternity sit right behind me at games. Every play that doesn't produce significant yardage is followed by profane commentary about how stupid the coaches and players are. Strangely, the guys in my ear don't seem to know the difference between false start and offsides or touchback and safety.;)
