Wish List Poll...

I can't say I disagree with you Eyeshade. The fan base has never been solid (attendance wise) and so the commitment from an administration standpoint has been as equally lukewarm. Honestly, I think the administration (and for the most part the fan base) just wants something they can talk about...

I was gonna quote a couple of different posts, but I didn't want anybody thinking I was picking a fight with just them. With that said... I think some people are getting a little silly with all the "aim-high" sorta comments. Would I love to have a Calipari or Few or Izzo or Petino? Sure. But...

Given current head coaches would be at the top of the list, but I think T.R. deserves a nod in the conversation over unrealistic candidates like Izzo or Petino. First choice? no...but at minimum he should be in the poll.

Question about Offensive linemen

Although it's true that teams like Florida do "run" out of their formations, they don't line up and blow people off the ball so to speak. The way it was described to me was that "spread" linemen typically come up like pass blockers on 80% of plays and lose pro-style run technique over...

Question about Offensive linemen

Something I had heard once was that as pro scouts go they don't particularly like "spread" offensive linemen because they "forget how" to run block. Is there any truth to this? And if so, how do teams like Florida get high end recruits on the OL? Surely someone like Saban (or others) could...

Another thing, I haven't followed Scout (on my insider) as much as Rivals, since it doesn't update as frequently, but here's a couple of things I noticed: -According to scout, our second best recruit is Vlachos graded at an 80, whereas Rivals has him as our 14th best and graded a 3 star...

Just checked the Scout rankings through my ESPN insider and it is showing our current commitments (including today's) and has us at 18th...so not that much of a disparity now.

Hargrave/Prep School - How does that work?

Excuse my ignorance, but how does the prep school thing work? Did these kids already graduate high school and then went there for a year instead of Juco? Do these kids still have full eligibility? I've always wondered why some kids are prep school and some Juco, if it is a way around losing...

WR Darrius Hanks committed to Alabama

I think when it comes to the star system they are putting a lot of emphasis on pure stats: how many receptions, how many TDs, what's the 40 time, how tall, etc. Obviously these are tried and true observations, but I think the one position that is hardest to predict with those is the WR position...
