BREAKING House Versus NCAA Settlement Reached

One potential change in all of this is if other professional leagues get involved to pay for the running of the sport in the U.S. Track and field is a massive sport across the world, and U.S. college track and field is essentially a high level minor league for professional track and field. IAAF...

JessN: Alabama Preview - 2025 Roster Rundown: Quarterbacks

I'm cautiously more optimistic purely b/c Alabama should have better fits at QB than Milroe was. That's not a slam on Milroe; that's objectively true, and CKD and his staff tried their best to build an offense around his strengths.

Pate on major college football playoff expansion coming

If they move to have more than one SEC game on the day of the SECCG, then I'll agree with you.

BREAKING CFP moving to straight seeding this year.

Maybe it's due to the number of years since the BCS was last used, but I never really had an issue with the BCS rankings. The 4-team playoff could've/should've used the BCS formula for their ranking purposes. This current iteration of the playoffs should use it as well.

    The Reason for CNS's Retirement

I think CNS was open to paying players. But, he didn't feel that freshmen should be paid more than seniors at the most important positions. But surely he felt like his methods wouldn't work long-term, especially when most of the team showed their butt after the loss to Michigan.

    Alabama's best non-national championship teams?

Bryce worked really hard to not win an NC.

    Alabama's best non-national championship teams?

    2010, 2016, 2019 for sure.

Old Man Rant About Ticket Prices

I've never been a Tide Pride member, but hearing about these prices/surges in pricing confirm to me that it is a totally different lifestyle to do that on a yearly basis. My parents are season ticket holders at USCw, and had to be moved around due to the construction of the media box at the...

Bama fans I have a question about who is your biggest rival

I think it depends on when you enter the University, or when you became a fan. Auburn is the bigger rival to me than Tennessee. I became fan in 2006, when I entered the University of Alabama. From 2007-2022, Alabama won every game against Tennessee, and more so in convincing fashion than not...

JessN: Five Questions as Spring Practice Nears End

I don't entirely disagree but trophies aren't awarded for maybes/woulda/shoulda/coulda. Smitty's Heisman also felt like a sort of career recognition. He wasn't necessarily flashy like other winners were. But he won his.

JessN: DeBoer is building something: What it is, is the question

For the larger group, it really just depended on individual circumstances. Some did move back, others stayed in the Alabama, or the SE. It does seem like, anecdotally, our generation are way more mobile post-college unlike my parents generation.

JessN: DeBoer is building something: What it is, is the question

I haven't moved back, but met my wife at UA (and grew up in Alabama), so that played a big role in not returning to CA.

JessN: DeBoer is building something: What it is, is the question

I knew of at least 30 Californians, including myself, when I was at school at Alabama from 2006-2010. Most of us chose Alabama due to total costs for out-of-state students being significantly lower than staying in-state in California. At one point then, California was in the top 5 of students at...

JessN: DeBoer is building something: What it is, is the question

I think this is a good summary of last season, and the article does a good job of where the program is right now. Any new HC is going to have a transition to make, especially in following the greatest HC in CFB. It is also accurate that we just don't know what the future looks like, especially...

Trump's Tariffs and Possible Trade War

I think Trump's policy objective is to swing the trade deficit numbers back in the U.S.' direction (where we're green and the others are red) b/c in his mind, that's just not good business. I'm using the phrase "policy objective" loosely b/c he just wants whatever benefits him and his ego.
