    Nice read of the legacy of Coach Fry on Wikipedia. He indeed had an impressive coaching tree. His record of bringing Iowa up from the lowest depths is probably equivalent to a coach bringing a string of ten wins at Vanderbilt. Glad to see Iowa recognize him by erecting a statute of him.

    I remember getting excited when we signed D. J. Hall because he was a high 3 star. My has the recruiting world turned upside down for us--now a high 3 would probably yield a bit of disappointment

    So sad! I remember him as a great collegiate QB but did not know of his addiction background. It is good to know Mr. Reaves overcame his dependency issues. May God comfort his family and friends.
