I agree with you about his defensive credentials...and everyone says defense wins championships. But, as your team throughly enjoyed, its our offense that is a train wreck right now. The games we did win were won on pure talent. A good OC could make this a good hire, but Im not sold...

I think the only thing that can save this is an OUSTANDING OC hire! Even then, like you said, do we still run the spread? Thats what we recruited for for the last 5 years. So, optimistically, we are 2 years from having a decent O, if we go to a more traditional system.

This goes with my thought on how successful he would be recruiting here. In all honesty rangerman, you could be right. I believe he will have to surround himself with AC's that know how to recruit here and play SEC type D for him to be successful. The man is a proven winner where he is, so...

Dont forget Chris Peterson...we would be fools not so shoot an offer his way! Look at what hes done with "less than stellar" recruits! And, yes, I know he didn't play SEC type teams, but I think he would do wonders here. Recruiting is the only big question mark....
