Born in Mobile, I wasn’t one of the rich kids who could turn down a scholarship so it was off to Auburn. Got started off on the wrong foot with the elephant poster on my dorm wall. I thought everyone loved the tide; barners didn’t get the memo.
I didn’t last too long on the plains and ended up in the army. Had a full rewarding career during which time I taught myself computers and programming. I retired from the service 10 years ago and am now a systems engineer with a Fortune 500 company.
