Bench: I like your optimism! Harmost: White has pop in the bat and had several web gems in what I saw. Overstreet didn't do anything overwhelming with the bat that I saw, but it seems he has promise. He did stop a ball straight up the middle and absolutely rob a base knock one day I was out there.

He's a RS Freshman from South Carolina. I don't know too much about him, but, if memory serves me correctly (if often doesn't) he had a couple hits at one of the scrimmages I attended and seemed to have some pop. I believe he had a HR in another.

It sounds like Guilbeau is most likely going to be the starter Tuesday vs. USM. Also, it sounds like we'll have an evolving lineup, but for Friday it should be: C- Booth 1B- Smith 2B- Overstreet 3B- Roberts SS- White RF- Moore CF- Salem LF- Blanchard DH- ???

I hate that about Wade. He was impressive with the arm, and his communication behind the plate in the limited scrimmage time I've seen. I wouldn't be shocked if the Booth-C Roberts-3B scenario works out, but Poe (Fresh.) looked pretty serviceable behind the plate as well. Like you said, there...

So, we're quickly approaching opening day vs. VMI. What are your predictions for the starting roster/depth chart and the weekend rotation? This team truly is "two deep" as CMG said recently, and after watching a couple scrimmages, I'm not sure I could definitively tell you who will start a week...

I'm optimistic, but the "haters" have every reason to be skeptical. After last season, this team and staff are going to have to make believers out of the fan base.

I am optimistic with Wolfe and Hawley's return. Should give us plenty to choose from. Surely from those 2 plus Sullivan, Turnbull, Keller, Kamplain, and Gilbeau we'll have a nice weekend rotation set. I just hope our anemic team BA can improve.

Kenny is hitting .241 and has 8HR putting him only behind the Tide's Ben Moore in the HR category in the Northwoods League this Summer. Kenny hit .162 with 2HR last season. He's not exactly setting the world on fire, and he's still striking out a good bit, but it's good to see him improving...

I'll renew no matter what. I just enjoy baseball too much. However, if there are no changes before opening day, I can't promise that my butt will be in my seat nearly as much as it usually is.

So, it seems the common thought is that CMG is safe, but that changes have to be made. If that's the case, who leaves? Is AP practically un-fireable?
