ICE Officer Kills Motorist In Minneapolis

Generally, true and the responsibility for following reasonable instructions from law enforcement officers on the ground investigating crime falls entirely on the citizen.
There is nothing unreasonable about "Get out of your car."

your mileage may vary, but imo "reasonable instructions" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in our current situation.

and mere non-compliance with police/government instructions is in no way justification for lethal force

How are those instructions being delivered? In a professional, no-nonsense manner or in a angry expletive-filled rant, complete with drawn weapons? And are they being said to an armed and dangerous criminal or to a smiling woman sitting in a car who is telling law enforcement that she's not mad at them? Words can be reasonable in one situation and unreasonable in another.

Citizens are entitled to be scared and wary of the police, particularly if those officials are acting in an unprofessional and needlessly provocative way. Defusing the situation in the least violent way possible is the responsibility of properly trained and competent law enforcement.

Homan: "We gotta stop the hateful rhetoric. Saying this officer is a murderer is dangerous. It's just ridiculous. It's gonna infuriate people more which means there's gonna be more incidents like this."

I guess calling the victim a “radical left wing terrorist" isn't hateful rhetoric. In fact, it's how they're starting to refer to anyone who protests the despicable tactics of Trump's immigration police.

These agents don’t wear clear, identifiable markings or badges. They don’t have warrants for these raids. They drive around in unmarked vehicles. They hide their identity behind masks. All the stuff they wear can be easily bought online.

This doesn’t pass the smell test. How are we supposed to trust an agency that doesn’t want us to know who they are? How do we know these guys are real or not some fakes wanting to do wrong?

It’s ridiculous how many just accept this and have no issues with it.

When I was learning to drive and taking driver's ed 20+ years ago, we were taught things that could get you hurt today.

I was taught not to pull over for unmarked cars, yet so many police departments use unmarked cars these days to make traffic stops. How am I supposed to know if this car is legit when you can buy flashing blue lights on Amazon?

I was taught not to roll down my window or get out of the car if the person is not in uniform or not clearly displaying a badge. I was taught to dial 911 to confirm if the officer was real or not. I was taught that officers would understand and wait. Do you think any LEOs today would wait before they start yelling expletives at you and trying to pull you out of your car?

I’m sick and tired of unmarked cars. I’m sick and tired of tactical gear instead of clearly identifying uniforms. I’m sick and tired of masked officers. LEOs today behave more like an invading army and gangs these days instead of officers of the law.

When it becomes hard to distinguish the cops from the criminals, then society has a problem. ICE reminds me more of Mexican drug cartels than law enforcement officers.

You want respect from the citizens, then respect us as well by clearly marking your vehicles, wearing easily identifiable uniforms, and taking the stupid masks off.

Until then, I don’t respect a single one of these so called “agents”.

I have no one wish to engage in sparring with opinions are fixed. The irony is that to the extent the majority of the people in the country adopt my view the fewer will be police killings of citizens. The more they adopt the view that, if you are doing the right thing, you are not obligated to follow police instructions, the more citizens will have adverse interactions with law enforcement and since most of the people who are engaging in extra legal action against ICE are on the political left, then the political left will be diminished in proportion. If Miss Good had followed police instructions, she'd be out there today protesting and hindering ICE activities in Minneapolis.

I wish Trump's government mouthpieces would stick to the facts rather than polluting their releases with political rhetoric. That would make it a lot easier to actually take them seriously. As it is, they're no better than One America or Newsmax.

I've copied and pasted the transcript below, @Huckleberry. Please tell me what is not factual.......

======================

Yesterday, two suspected Tren de Aragua gang associates—let loose on American streets by Joe Biden—weaponized their vehicle against Border Patrol in Portland. The agent took immediate action to defend himself and others, shooting them.

The driver of the vehicle, Luis David Nico Moncada is a criminal illegal alien from Venezuela and suspected Tren de Aragua gang member. He illegally entered the U.S. in 2022 and was RELEASED into the country by the Biden administration. Since then, he was arrested for DUI and unauthorized use of a vehicle. He has a final order of removal.

The passenger, Yorlenys Betzabeth Zambrano-Contreras is a criminal illegal alien from Venezuela and is associated with Tren de Aragua. She illegally entered the U.S. in 2023 near El Paso, Texas, and was RELEASED into this country by the Biden administration. Since illegally entering, Contreras played an active role in a Tren de Aragua prostitution ring and was involved with a prior shooting in Portland.
