Political Meme - Cartoon/Joke Thread...Part XXXII

Washington Post gift article

Freeh tried to justify it to an extent, but many Republicans were not happy at the hearings.

And many right wingers weren’t happy either:

Just out of curiosity, what the did left think about all of this? (This question assumes you were paying attention to stuff like this. Perhaps you weren't; at the time, I didn't even know about it. I was a bit too busy chasing skirts.) 😆

As I recall, they weren't happy about it, especially the image of a mother being shot while holding her baby. However, Weaver was a white separatist and Democrats didn't like the way the incident was being used by white nationalists and militia groups, so they merely said reforms were needed within the FBI. There was no outrage from them.

I don't think many liberals were happy at all. The use of force was well beyond what was necessary and peaceful options were likely available.

Of note -

The ACLU sided with gun rights groups after the debacle

Patrick Leahy and the Democrats decried the excessive force at congressional hearings

Some people are illegally where they shouldn't be, yes.
But that's NOT what this is typical either lazy or intentionally cruel wording is. The quote was "No one is illegal" people. Meaning this meme supports "some people are illegal". I'm simply calling out a logical fallacy that is too often spoken and written, usually for ill intent.
Weird question.

I challenge you to find a single place where I've suggested anything like this straw man.
Maybe you haven't, but there's no nuance this this meme.

I'll wait.

Of course I can. It's as simple as illegally entering a country. Not sure how this is complicated for you to understand - it's a concept that's literally been around all of recorded history.
Borders are not that old, and they come and go and move for political, safety, and many other reasons. The current Mexico border is being used as a political weapon against and a shield/filter for some of the many political and policy mistakes we've made in Central and South America (Guatemala, Venezuela, etc.), and it's fallout will be seen for generations.
I'm on record saying they should go after employers as vigorously as the illegals.

I'm not the one who cannot comprehend borders, so....
There you go using the pejorative "illegals" term.

I think we all understand what borders are as well as any normal citizen. What I doubt we can agree upon is what the Southern border is being used for right now. Or why a stack of wood is being used to protect a neighborhood being raided by some ill trained, violent, and ill intended federal troops.

"It's a deal that makes too much sense not to happen," Rubio said in a brief statement to reporters. "In the United States, we're overrun with unpleasant, objectionable, hateful women of multi-colored hair. In Iran, they seek to oppress the rights of the beautiful Persian women. In light of the current state of affairs in both countries, making a historic trade is a viable solution. Just think about how much life would instantly improve in America with no more liberal women."

At publishing time, Iranian officials were reportedly open to moving forward with the trade after realizing that Islamic law could hide all the unattractive liberal women under burqas and prevent them from participating in society.

You're parsing words here, if you are acting criminally, you're a criminal. It may not be your defining characteristic, but it's an accurate description. Likewise with those here illegally.

I get that this is somehow a hot-button for you, but I'm not going to line by line discuss / refute your claims when virtually everyone on the planet (today and throughout most of recorded history) understands what I mean when I call an illegal 'illegal'.

Don't like it? Ignore it.

Now back to memes.
