In 2023, we lost to San Deigo St. who eventually lost to UConn in the NC game (UConn = NC)

In 2024, we lost to UConn who eventually won the NC.

In 2025, we lost to Duke in the EE, who lost to Houston in the Semis to UF, the NC

In 2026, the worst we do is lose to the loser of the Semis if Zona beats Michigan. If UM beats Arizona, we will either have lost to the NC or runner up in the tourney.

I saw that CNO is getting bumped from 9 in NIL to 12 mill in NIL...it's just a matter of time until Bama is playing in the NC game and/or wins it!!!

2024 UConn blew out everyone they played in the tournament except us and purdon't. They beat them by one point more than they beat us.

This year, we played michigan closer than anyone else has

I really hope that bump in NIL will help us. If anyone is gonna figure this out, it's Nate Oats. Keep him for a lifetime.

I do think he will make some changes in the offseason. If we see similar issues that aren't getting us through those BIG games, you know he has to see them and think about them neurotically.

At the end of the day, I think injuries bit us in the butt this year. If we had Bristow and Hannah I think we could have made it past Michigan. Along with Colins being out. We needed that depth sorely.

Bristow and Hannah were good effort guys. Bristow had length we needed as well.

Yep and all of that.

I love how humble CNO is...calling himself a PE teacher.

Bristow is fascinating. Hope he comes back and maybe packs on a few more lbs to his frame. But, yeah, he looked good in those 1st few games before he was injured.

Hope he does as well, really hope we can keep Jemison as well. I may be wrong but it seemed like he grew a few inches during the season? I think other schools will be trying to steal him.

The crazy thing with the tournament is it’s all about matchups. I think the team that went to the final four was the worst of the 4 teams the last 4 years. However we got a good draw and played lower ranked teams except the North Carolina game. We matched up well with them though as we both played similar styles and they were not a big team. If I was ranking teams I think it would be.
1. 2022 year with Brandon Miller and Clowney
2. 2024 team with Sears, Philon, Nelson
3. 2025 team with Philon and Holloway
4. 2023 team with Sears Griffin Estrada.

I agree with this ranking order!

Jemison got better and better time as the season wore on. He was a walking foul early on and I felt like he was not dependable because of it. And those fouls began to go away and he became very aggressive with the ball. On fast breaks, if he was involved he was going to the hole with it.

He needs to get stronger to finish at the rim. He got blocked alot of times taking it to the rim.

I agree, he got better, but I think he can improve alot with more strength and more 3 point shooting practice!

4 Straight Sweet 16s
Elite 8
Final 4

2 SEC Reg Season Titles
2 SEC Tournament Titles

In 7 total seasons.

…..with all due respect - I’d say Oats has it “figured out”.

Roll Tide!
