All that tells me is that Sumlin is an SEC coach already. 25 will sign, some won't get in academically, grey shirts, early enrolling, etc. Some random Texas Tech fan will blog about it, no one will notice or care. Big boy programs do what they want. We should know.
Re: Reuben Foster Says He Will Only Visit 3 Schools
I haven't seen him much in coverage, but he's a sports center highlight waiting to happen and I'd love to see him in crimson. I don't spend too much time trying to explain the decisions of 18 year old boys, but I get the feeling that he wants...
I forgot all about Eddie Williams. With Landon Collins looking decent (on special teams), could we move Williams over to WR. He's got the height and he's physical enough to play either. I'm actually a little shocked he didn't see some playing time this year.
Not sure if I agree with you on Dee. He isn't perfect, but his draft stock is too high for him to return. I'd love to see him stay, but he's a first round lock and most have him in their top 10.
I guess I never even thought of Lacy leaving early. He might stand to gain the most by returning. If he could play an injury free season his stock could soar. But if he's really considered the 2nd best back in the draft then I don't blame him.
No chance for Mosley? He's showing up as a mid-first rounder. I always considered him a bit smaller than your typical NFL linebacker, but he's a sure tackle and fast enough to make up for it.
NFL Draft:Who's leaving early and who's staying?
I know mock drafts are about as accurate as preseason polls, but they're good for random discussion. Before the season we had as many as 5 players projected to go in the first round, Milliner, Lester, Fluker, Jones, and Warmack (some had Nico...
Re: DE / ATH Robert Nkemdiche Updates
I don't think so. And I know we've never landed the #1 recruit in the nation. Landing Nkemdiche and Foster would be huge to say the least.
Re: DE / ATH Robert Nkemdiche Updates
Well said. I was just referring to his position relative to our roster, which lists him as a LB. It says a great deal about the versatility of a player and the complexity of a defense when there's that much flexibility. Just another reason to love coach...
Re: DE / ATH Robert Nkemdiche Updates
Hubbard was a DE in high school, but has been playing as a LB since coming to UA. Maybe that's where the confusion came in.
Nope. Georgia Tech is the most talented team in the country that runs it. They have moderate success during the regular season since it's tough to get ready for being that it's unique. Just look at their bowl record when teams have a little time to prepare. I will admit that it's my favorite...
A new OC might bring in a new style of offense. I think we might have another open battle next year, but I doubt we see AJ riding the bench next year. You dont make it to the title game, then pull the QB that got you there. I sure do feel good with this guy as a backup though. I dont think...
Just scanning the list, not taking the time to verify the results, it appears that we have 7 commits listed. That's between 1st, 2nd, and HM rosters. Not too bad. If someone has time to count the Barn's, I'd be interested to know how many they currently have. I think I spotted 2, but I'm not...
Re: Andrew Bone tweet says Bama closing in on "major" commitment. Any ideas?
After this weekend, I think it's safe to say that AB was talking about Yeldon. What a great pickup for Bama.
Re: RB TJ Yeldon Updates (AU commitment)
I think we all have to admit that Yeldon is one talented RB, but there would be NOTHING better than snagging a prized recruit from the Barn. He is the prize of that class. With Dyer transferring, and us putting 2 RBs in a row in the 1st round, I...
