A buddy and I were talking at work today about the “fins” and he asked me a question that I could not answer, so I bring it to the most informative spot on the web. This is actually a two part question:
First part - The owner of the Miami Dolphins; in the last couple of years has it not been mentioned that Wayne Huizenga wanted to sell the Dolphins?
Second part - If this sell happened within the next year or so would this cause the coaches contract to change or are coaching contracts like player contracts when there is a change of ownership?

I vaguely recall that H wanted to sell the Dolphins. But I think he owns some other sports teams; might have been one of those.

With regard to your second question, my guess is that an ownership change would only impact a coach's contract if the contract contained specific provisions for such an occurrence.
