At first, I was confused. Why are we recruiting a QB from 2007? Then I open the thread and it said 2027.

"The Thompson (Ala.) standout, who has won two state championships in Class 7A, has trained with Galu ever since. Bama247 caught up with the father of former Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for a whole bunch of thoughts.

"It's amazing," Tagovailoa said. "Sometimes going through the process with my boys and seeing it, I didn't see it in my boys, but I saw it in this kid. Only because with my boys, the expectation is so much different, right. Trent was special when he was young. I could see something special with him. It's just like anything else, it's work. No matter what we tell the kid, if the kid isn't consistent with his work and doing the things he needs to do, it will never work out."

"Since Tua was in high school and Trent was young, he was always a big Tua and Taulia fan," he continued. "They would go and watch my boys' games. They were so close with us. We trained every weekend, week days. They played with my program. We trained every day. We would have practice and after practice, we would train again."

Seaborn was never going anywhere else!

Awesome pick-up with Seaborn. You can not find a QB who has played 7A football at this level for as long as he has. Best region in the state and around the country. Welcome and RTR Trent.

And yet Gunner Rivers is ranked the #1 player in the state and QB for the 2027 in-state class.

Lots and lots of talent to choose from. Seaborn seems "full of Bama" but he's won championships at the 7A level the toughest area in the state. That's huge to have played in that kind of an area and had that kind of success.

I regret we let Phillip Rivers get out of the state and I hope Gunner gets a shot with Bama if the staff wants him.

But when you throw in Haven, who sounds like he may committ anytime we already are going to have a crowed QB room.

The good news is we already have the next starter waiting in the wings, depending on what Ty does this year.

And these guys sound really legit! CKD's reputation as a QB whisperer is in full effect right now!

Alabama has not offered Rivers's son and I would be surprised if we did. Seaborn is their top target and deservingly so!

I've been keeping up with him. Sounds solid. Again, our QB room is going to be loaded.

I thought we were recruiting GR, but if we are not "in CKD/Grubb I trust" when it comes to QBs!!!
