If it's a "simple" ACL tear, and it does look like this one is, the repair is straight forward and it's just not the concern for an OL that it would be for a skill player...

To add to earlier, it seems like he just got some really bad advice. Makes you wonder what kind of medical personnel is on hand advising the team and the players. From the sound of it, whatever they have isn't too competent.

And they bad thing is they won like 53-0. Totally unnecessary for him to go back into the game.

Anyway, as Earle said, the good news is a simple ACL shouldn't affect him that greatly, especially with him being an offensive lineman. Having the surgery in late September, too, is a lot better than having it in late November or December.

Has surgery at 11 am today at St. Vincent's. Surgeon is Dr. Cain. I know Bradley and his family would appreciate all Tidefans' prayers.

That's great news. He already seems like someone that doesn't mind working hard and leading by example and that's qualities that UA wants to see coming into the OL next season with so many leaders leaving. Great addition to this class.

When he committed with Alabama he wasn't that highly ranked, but from what I read he appeared to have that blue collar work ethic that has worked so well for us in the past. His injury is unfortunate, and I believe it might result in a red shirt season but I fully expect him to be a starter one day.

I talk to Bradley at least weekly and he always reports being ahead of schedule on his rehab. Saturday night he reported that he is 6 weeks ahead of schedule with his rehab. He is walking well and actually looks a little bigger in his upper body. He hasn't been sitting around. While he is rehabbing his knee he has been working hard on his upper body too. He will be a special player at Bama if his character and work ethic is any indication.
