per Coaching SearchGeorgia: Mark Richt says he has several options to weigh about his future, including the possibility of coaching. Richt notes he’d love to coach offense and quarterbacks again. He has been offered a staff role at Georgia, but hasn’t accepted it. Athletic director Greg McGarity says Richt's new contract approved by the board last January will be the basis for compensation, even though Richt hadn't signed it. McGarity adds that he will use a search firm to find the next coach.

I think Herman is holding out for an elite job to open up, as opposed to taking over a mid/major program. Given what is currently going on in Austin, probably a smart move on his part.
That clears the path for Kirby or Mullen to get the job at Georgia....

I dont think hes going anywhere this year. I think he's staying in Houston... But next year? Hmmm... could be gone.
