  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

I think too many people look at the quad 1 records now as a major barometer but I think it has way to big of a gap to look at it. North Carolina is definitely getting ragged for it being 1-12 which I get but 7 or 8 of those losses were to teams with a 1 or 2 seed. They lost to Duke 3 times, Florida, Auburn, Alabama, Michigan State and Kansas (who was number 2 at time). How would Indiana done against those teams. Probably not much better maybe 1 win. I just don’t see how a game at Florida or Duke has the same value as a game at Penn State. I mean one team could lose by 2 at Florida and they are 0-1 in Quad 1 games. The other team wins by 1 at Penn State and they are 1-0 in quad 1 games. So not all quad 1 games are even close to the same I think they need more groups and smaller class widths.

You’ll often see some sites further break it down into Q1A and Q1B.

Better take half day Friday. 12:40 vs Robert Morris.
I’ll be in on a campus tour with my oldest daughter and wife. Yep, my oldest will be a senior next year which means I’m about to enter that phase of life of paying for a college I can’t afford.

Wife has already told me that my attention needs to be on the tour, not the game. 😬 At least it is the ground 1 game and hopefully a solid win with no drama.

I'm just now seeing the bracket. I think we caught a massive break. Nothing is going to be easy, but every projection I saw had us playing St. Johns in the Sweet 16, if seeds held. Of course, they moved up to a 2.

Neither Wisconsin nor BYU will be an easy out, but I think we have a path to the Elite 8 if we can get healthy and play defense.

BYU might not make it out of the 1st round.

I honestly think Saint Mary’s could be a tough out.

If we are full strength and rested and have Nelson we should make it to the Elite 8 though.

Duke is a Monster but I’d love to get a crack at them.

Usually in the NCAAT a Team made of mostly Freshman cracks under the pressure.
