this is what I heard as well. He wasn't really anywhere near pushing Ty, and was much more getting pushed by those behind him, especially KR down the stretch this spring. Development can happen at different stages for different guys though, and with him really only being the age of true sophomore, he's still got some time I'd think, but with 2 years in college systems hopefully he's got a really good handle on all the mental aspects and concepts so is just needing to continue to develop down the physical path.
Agreed SJC and from the same interview he said this and it is only going to get worse until he commits and signs in December.
I saw this about Bear. I did not know he re-classified and the measurables are unique.
Also heard that they didn't believe the 4.7 so they made him run it again and he ran a 4.8! So he's legit and very athletic, believe we got a steal
He is committing tomorrow on the Pat McAfee show and though nobody really knows, it seems it could be either Bama or Oregon. I am sure regardless of who it is tomorrow, the top teams he has mentioned will still recruit him until signing day. Maybe he wants to stay home and play for Bama since he has been a Bama fan all his life. Or, he could just want to do something different and leave the state. I would imagine that although the NIL money is comparable, Oregon will probably offer more than others at the last minute. I guess I'd rather it be Oregon than Texas AM, but hope he picks Bama!
like many have stated on his recruitment, it's not over until December. But we are good either way at that position. Tank was more of a luxury than a need. losing a 5 star is never a good look, but in today's CFB, it's becoming more common due to NIL and the portal. Bama has recruited very well and the guys on the roster will be more than ready to go.
Well the state had three 5*'s (really four 5*'s if you count Xavier Griffin who was playing in Huntsville last year) and we have two and may get the third today. Good news is the Barn (or any other SEC team) will not be getting him if he decides to go with Oregon.

very good point on auburn and the rest of the SEC. Offord if I recalled wasn't a true Alabama native so he had no loyalty to the state schools.
indeed and his " relationship" with Lanning who he's known the last 6 months or so while he's known Womack for the last 4 years. let's not forget his father like relationship with CRob which really didn't matter in the end. we shall see how much it will dawn on him when the long distant away from your family and friends become a reality when December comes around or is the $$$ too good to pass up.
So if you were offered an extra $500,000 ; you still go to Bama? How about an extra $1,000,000?
I'm gonna call it..... He flips in November. No way he shuts down the recruitment...
