2026 Recruiting

Most boys, without doing anything, gain 10-15 pounds from HS to the end of their Freshman year of college. This kid's already 220 lbs and has yet to step foot on campus, much less get into a college weight and nutrition program. Granted, they may have a plan to keep him in the 220's or they could possibly see him as a hybrid TE/WR by putting on some weight and trying to make a perpetual mismatch on the field. Who knows? But if the plan is to keep him in the 220's, that's going to be tough to do seeing his body is naturally going to get heavier just from changing from a boy into a man. Once he gets in that weight room and that muscle starts being added, he's going to get bigger. It's going to be hard to keep him from adding weight.

Julio played at 6'2 3/4" and was 220. AJ Brown plays at 6"1" 226. Morgan is supposed to be 6'3 1/2" and 220.

Megatron was 6'5" and 240 lbs and one of the best ever.

Talking about size only and people talking about he will become a TE if he keeps growing. I would not compare a 17 year old to Megatron in skill level and nobody would.

It is crazy how “routine” these guys are in just a few years since Julio was a freak.

Which players should we target from all these teams who have fired their coaches? I would love for us to after that Atkins kid at MLB for the Barn. Maybe some of those WRs. How about anyone at LSU or Penn St?

Yes, we probably should go after some experienced OL (like Van de Mark and Dewberry) but all those top tier OL high school players visiting for the LSU game are going to get an eyeful of Bama tradition. Hopefully we’ll win some hearts with a nice victory in college football’s best game atmosphere. Plus the recruits from Louisiana get a double dose—exposure to that NFL 1st round draft pick wall, with Devonta and Landon Collins both from there.

Alabama is currently doing well with multiple 2027 o-line recruits. I think all these guys can see the huge need on a team that cannot run the ball or protect the passer very well.

Kennedy Brown, who is the number 1 OT prospect in 2027 and number 3 overall recruit just had a great visit to Bama and Bama is coming on for Albert Simien, who is the #2 guard prospect in 2027 and number 18 overall recruit.
