The previous poster is right. And “a while” is up. Maurice Clarett has already sued to skip over the 3 years out of HS rule and failed. I have a feeling today’s judiciary would rule against the NFL.
“A while” means a high school kid or maybe more than one will suffer a life altering injury (or even a death) and THAT will serve as a deterrent perhaps for a short time. As you know jump from HS to the NFL is essentially impossible unlike other professional sports. To make it work the NFL would have to employ some new rules which would further water down the game at the professional level. I do see, perhaps, kids choosing an alternative league if something like the UFL partners with the NFL like the NBA does the G League (if the salaries could ever start competing with CFB NIL). But that is a long shot to say the least.

With the way the team played last night I'm expecting some surprising portal entries. The guys just looked like they were already somewhere else last night.

Makes sense. He'll be good there. I never got the sense he'd become "the guy" at Bama. That's just my gut...plus when you sign a guy like Russell, who has the accolades of former QBs like Tua and Bryce, you have got to get to him sooner rather than later.

I think if Ty can get drafted in the top 2 rounds he should go get the money. He proved he's very good when healthy. This season also proved you can get hurt and returning might raise his draft status with another year starting, but he could also just as likely get hurt again.

I love his loyalty, but if I'm him I go and get the NFL $$$ and try to get vested in the NFL retirement system sooner rather than later.

Word is he told Auburn a ridiculous number and they said “bye”
That’s what’s making the rounds on the radio and interwebs. Barn said that can’t allocate 12% of their NIL to a single receiver. They were talking he asked for $3mil / year. Probably because he knew they wouldn’t give it. They were already paying $2mm reportedly.

It was in the NFL’s best interest to help CFB get a handle on its ‘employee’ on field talent problem.

Put on your seatbelts today! It's going to be frustrating but fun ride.

Couple things to note though: I don't know jack. I don't have insiders or nothing like that. It's purely common sense and I'm pretty good at connecting dots.
NFL Draft Candidate:
QB Ty Simpson- 50/50
WR Isaiah Horton likely returning
OL Kadyn Proctor NFL
OL Parker Brailsford NFL
LB Yhonzae Pierre 50/50 should return though
S Bray Hubbard I think he should go. He put on enough tape for NFL
S Keon Sabb NFL But could come back

I've been saying all season long that I expected Simpson and Mack to move on. But right now, I"m not sure which one will move on. I got a feeling Mack is going to make a decision based on Simpson. If Simpson stays, Mack moves on. If he doesn't stay, Mack stays. I'm not worried about Russell. Russell has stated he's perfectly fine with waiting his turn. Please don't assume Russell will start next year. Also, please don't assume Mack goes to Michigan State.

RBs and OLs: I expect overhaul of the RB and OL room. Miller and Washington are moving on. Young is entering the portal. I'm wondering about Dear will enter the portal? So for next year, it's Hill/Riley and Crowell. My thought we need experienced RB who is very good at finding holes. We take 2-3 RBs. OL- What we saw this season isn't sustainable and should never be repeated again. I think Bama make better efforts getting the OLs they need.

WR-Jalen Hale is going into portal, we just have to wait to hear the news. We're in good shape with WRs, but there's always that surprise move. Meadow? Adam? Scott?

OLB- There's a premium effort in finding that right player who will excel and contribute immediately.

I don't expect huge exodus similar to Texas, Penn State and others.... But It's going to be somewhat significant portal entries but also will have significant addition.

Well, something has got to give. Unless the OL gets the changes it needs it won't matter who will be QB next year.

But, FWIW, I think we see Russell.

Premium effort on OLB or ILB? Seems if Pierre comes back, with the depth behind him we have a good OLB room, but ILB we're losing our top 3 with little to no experienced depth behind them.
