Link: 2026 Transfer Portal

Says we brought in 19; 247 shows only 16
There's always some disparity when you are dealing with walk-ons (for example Alabama brought in a transfer walk-on TE) and unrated players (three unrated special teams guys). Some guys don't even have a 247 page, for instance Alabama upgraded a walk-on to scholarship, he has no page on 247, he was never rated or offered scholarships previously as far as I'm aware.

So some lists will include him (not portal since he was never in it but you get the idea), some won't, and this guy actually caught a TD pass for Alabama! Likewise Alabama added a really, really good place kicker but he also wasn't rated so he won't always show up.

Things may get ugly for Pete Golding. Dabo is PO’d with good reason. The kid was signed and enrolled at Clemson when OM offered $1m , and continued to tamper after Clemson warned their GM.

I thought that story was funny when I heard it. Golding don't give a hoot and He's just doing what other coaches is doing. Alabama was doing the same thing.

Giving him some grace and if he doesn't stop we're gonna turn him in.

TURN HIM IN TO WHOMST DABO!!!!?? There's no one to turn anyone in to. You're a few years behind buddy.

Pete really wanted Luke Ferrelli

I know alot on here despise Dabo, but I'm with him on this, something has to be done about tampering, I know what some are going to say so say it,but you sign a contractual agreement, you should be bound to it and no one should contact you, so if you disagree so be it
That's not really how it works in the real world. If the liquidated damages are not severe enough to compensate for a breach then the contract is made to be broken. If the player tenders his buyout regardless who funded it, Clemson was made whole. Dabo needs to be yelling at his NIL attorneys.

Say what you want it's your opinion, but back in my day and still to me a handshake is a man's word, which I know has gone away

The problem with these NIL contracts is that the players are not really being paid to play, they are being paid to represent.

He's not a recruiter, he's never been. Grubb has 0 recruits at Alabama, which is low even for him.

However, he has about a recruit a year for every year he's been in the FBS. https://247sports.com/coach/ryan-grubb-4015/alltimerecruits/

BoB didn't recruit either from what I recall
Guessing the intent is make their jobs easier but also to make them more expendable if the get HC job. With grubb it could be a variation of the latter
