Ticket sales are not where the real money is made. TV rights, corporate sponsorships, and pampering the rich elite is where the real money is made.

Most every “event” has turned into a money grab. Try taking a family of four to a concert. Heck, try taking them to the movies. The only good coming from all this is my family unit is spending more and more time outdoors enjoying nature which is exponentially better.

And get ready for pay per view. I can envision a point once the playoff is expanded to 24 when the CFP takes control of the broadcast rights. Want to watch your college team in the playoff? Purchase our streaming package. It won’t be enough have ESPN+ package with your streaming service you’re paying through the nose for.
