He looks taylor made for our system. Too bad! It's being reported that Lee is down to Florida and St. John's. No word or buzz that Bama is even involved.

Would love to have Lee, but he is going to fetch a HEFTY price tag. Wonder if we can throw that type of cash at him or if the program could sell itself.PG possibiliites that are in the portal:
Xaivian Lee -6'4" 180 lbs - supposed to be a great pick and roll player and shooter
Lee is a 6-foot-4 lead guard who plays with terrific pace and anticipation in pick-and-rolls. He's one of the most potent off-the-dribble shot-makers in the sport. His stepback jumpers are automatic, and his smooth handle and acceleration helps him shed defenders and get into the paint at will to set the table for lobs, throwbacks or his own floaters. Lee was not afraid to put his face in the fan on the glass, and he notched multiple triple-doubles for Princeton.
Yeah, Philon has us over a barrel.Would love to have Lee, but he is going to fetch a HEFTY price tag. Wonder if we can throw that type of cash at him or if the program could sell itself.
Apparently Florida gave him the money he wanted as he will be a Gator.Would love to have Lee, but he is going to fetch a HEFTY price tag. Wonder if we can throw that type of cash at him or if the program could sell itself.
Yep, just posted in the other thread (portal thread)Apparently Florida gave him the money he wanted as he will be a Gator.
I don't think there is any chance Philon comes back. I know there was a rumor on here that said he may just be testing the waters, but there is no indication that's true. Everything I've read and heard seems to indicate that it's very final Even the UA Twitter account posted a goodbye to him.Yeah, Philon has us over a barrel.
I'm not mad at him, but it may put us in a bind to sign someone like Lee (even if he had interest in us).
And, if this kid can knock down the 3 coming off a high pick and roll, he might be just as good or better than Philon, but he's not gonna want to play for us if Philon is coming back.
He said this two days ago. I don't think he will come back but it is true.I don't think there is any chance Philon comes back. Yeah, I posted that about 2 weeks ago. This was before all that came outHe said this two days ago. I don't think he will come back but it is true.
A return to college basketball might not be completely out of the question for Labaron Philon. Philon joined “The SchuZ Show” Monday and was asked if there's “even a chance“ he could go back to Alabama and “is that on the table?” “I would say 100% draft, but you know, things can change,” Philon said.2 days ago
No. This quote comes from an interview on Monday of this week.Yeah, I posted that about 2 weeks ago. This was before all that came out
Yeah, thats what I was saying. I had posted that 2 weeks ago before this interview came out. There wasn't evidence at the time of posting. I listened to the interview and it wasn't quite as concrete as the article suggests. He said that, and then he was asked specifically if he had eligibility just to clarify, and he gave nondefinitive answer. It was something like "Uh I think so, yeah." So there is still some question. This article frames it a lot more positively than I would've after listening to that. To me, it sounded like someone who didn't even have coming back on his mind, but somebody asked him a question.No. This quote comes from an interview on Monday of this week.

Labaron Philon says "you never know" on a potential return to Alabama
Alabama star freshman guard Labaron Philon declared for the 2025 NBA Draft two weeks ago. It was initially reported that Philon was not leaving the door open onbamahammer.com
He makes it sound pretty final that Philon is staying in the draft. I think there's our answer unless the combine just goes bad. He said "I think he's going to get drafted", so it sounds like Philon doesn't care what round.Nothing new here but an update on Philon. He has until May 28th to withdraw his name if he were to want to play in college next year.
