I didn't see this last night because I was watching something else, plus my computer can't "talk", but I'm listening to The Schnitt Show and he's talking about it. BTW, he's in Birmingham today.

BTW, I wouldn't care what they do/did to get info from these savages, including cutting their fingers or toes off. Or their ears or eyes, or whatever - you get the message...
What if it was YOUR child?

Leslie Stahl is now 70 years old, believe it or not. I think she has Mo's hairstylist.

My child wouldn't be a terrorist! But the point is, are you capable of taking anything seriously?
I just think it is funny how you are so "hard" when it comes to things you don't like, but "soft" when it comes to things you do. I wondered what might happen if the lines were to blur a bit, but nope, you put it right back into black and white.

So. What should we do with TERRORIST DOGS?

Oh - I see, you like terrorists? I wonder if your IQ is as high as say.....50?
Oh, yeah. I love me some terrorists. I watch the news, and think, ya know what would really make this news rock? Some innocent people being blown up. And you know who really delivers? That's right. Terrorists.

Personally I think we should switch to "stop hitting yourself" to get our info from these terrorists.

I'm a bit late to this thread but as long as it's still on the board...
When I was in the Army back in 1967-1973, I had a chance to take two (not-so)-wonderful yearlong vacations in a little place in Southeast Asia called Vietnam.
We didn't use waterboarding, because we had better uses for our water. We had a lot of other methods though to 'persuade' our captors to talk. You'd be surprised at some of them, too. We had Vietnamese interpreters asking questions but getting no answers. Then when we used just the right methods, those little buggers started talking better than some of the folks right here in B'ham.
Anyway,, my point is, "Who the heck cares if waterboarding is considered torture or not"? Not me. We'd use whatever methods we felt were necessary to get the info we needed, and we weren't the only ones doing it. The Viet Cong went to some pretty lengthy means to convince our guys to talk as well.
So putting waterboarding in it's proper perspective here, when you're tied and have a thin copper wire tied around your penis and force to look at the local lovelies walking around you start naked; when someone is shoving sharpened bamboo splinters up under your fingernails; when your hands are tied behind your back and you're being dragged from a water-buffalo through the rice paddies and collecting leeches; when you're hanging by your neck and being slowly lowered into a pot of boiling water; (I could go on, but you get the idea), waterboarding seems a might tame.

War is hell. It's not tiddly winks like some want to sanitize it to be.

Obama said of "enhanced interrogation" in 2011 "It's not who we are; it's not what we do."

Again, he gets it wrong.

He always will but hopefully he will be getting it wrong in his speeches as an ex-president in a few months. 188 days, but who's counting?
