Fall has officially arrived! It's just about perfect out right now. Slight breeze and 73. Humidity is reading in the 80's...but you wouldn't know it, for some reason. It just feels nice and cool!

I have a 10 trunk Areca Palm (Chrysalidocarpus lutescens) with a couple LED uplights on it that rotate through several colors. When the blue shines upward into it's canopy....it's like you forget everything else in the world.....

Insurance rates away from the shores (10-15 miles inland) are fine. IME the combination of property taxes / insurance rates are actually lower in the Orlando area than they are in Memphis.

16.2 million people live in a Florida coastal county. While the beach is a definite plus, that's a lot of people who are negatively affected by the situation. I wish the state government cared.
