Thanks, @Huckleberry - that was an amazing game! Respect to both teams. Tough way to lose the game for Taipei. I'm very proud of our players and coaches who provided comfort to the Taipei players at their time of need there at the end.

Like Coach Saban says........you win with class....you lose with class!

Congrats @crimsonaudio and to the Lake Mary LL program!!!

There is a big move to build golf courses and tennis courts on lands in Florida State Parks. Evidently some feel we don't have enough. Are they kidding? The Florida Wildlife Federation and Florida Audubon Society have sent petitions out on social media and have had extremely good results. Now, several members of the Florida Legislature as well as others in leadership positions are speaking out against this idea. Hopefully, it gets tossed as it did once before.

I’m not against the game of golf, but there are not many worse uses for land and resources than golf courses (parking lots are definitely worse). The usability per acre is really low. And the amount of maintenance and chemicals is huge.

I'm not a golfer but I have no problems with the game, either. Florida is definitely chock full of courses. This is just a push for more tourism, more new residents and more money. I'm happy that there's been a lot of push back over messing up State Parks with this. Our wildlife has been uprooted enough.

Yes. The Tuskegee Dunes Foundation. And they would have donated all proceeds to something to do with the Tuskegee Airmen something something puppies and kittens and G-d Bless America. Shell rigged to scarf up money is more like it.

The lower pic is of Royal Palm Way in the town of Palm Beach. Most of the folk who live or "winter" there aren't going to stop doing anything they want to do and a couple of them would have happily been part of the effort to profit from golf courses in State Parks. The last time that was pitched was during Rick Scott's term as governor. He and Jack Nicklaus had big plans. Didn't fare well with it then, either. This time, he was one of big boys who batted the idea down. This time it came from some of those in the Department of Environmental Protection. DeSantis is full of it.

Hey, we're getting new power poles! (y)

Much bigger than the old ones...which is always good when you're in a state that gets hit by so many hurricanes!

Right now they are just setting the poles. I assume they will then transfer the lines over and then remove the old ones.

This is looking North on North Atlantic Ave....the properties to the right are oceanfront.
