I do agree with this. I don't see him ever making another serious run at the WH. I don't think he will ever connect with voters nationally. I think he will run but won't get far.
I am blessed to live in the state he's the governor of, heart and all.

By the way, this "indoctrination" bs he pushes about schools here and the way he's screwed up everybody with textbooks and what is and isn't "allowed" according to his butt hasn't done anybody any favors. He's the one with the theater sending people he has decided are "illegal" off to another state, also at the taxpayer's expense. The Disney thing was another absurdity. You do realize he did all of that nonsense because he planned to run for the Presidency. He was just so unlikeable, he was a flop. He's also been bombarding us with more bs about Amendment 4. Again, with taxpayers' money which he isn't supposed to do. His "woke" hatin' thing just makes most of us where I live (thankfully) laugh as well as the "Free State of Floridy" rants of his. Free because he tried so hard to push not wearing masks or getting vaccines. Do not tell me I should appreciate someone who doesn't mind endangering stupid people so that he can be popular.

All the stuff you said is why I would vote for him again if he could run for a third term. Florida did a great job getting vaccines out. I live in Florida and got the vaccine here with no trouble. It was done by age so oldest could get it quickest and they had it at public sites as well as at all the local pharmacies. It was super easy and very organized. I also had to get antibody treatment and that was organized incredibly well. I got online picked my site and time. I drove to it and they had me in and out in no time. I waited longer afterwards to make sure I didn’t have a reaction to the shots than I did to get the shots. I love the free state of Florida. I’m sorry your ideology won’t let you see the situation clearly.

I live in Florida, too. I had no trouble getting vaccines either and still don't. I'm sorry you can't see what a big lot of theater he is. I wish my grandchildren could grow up someplace that actually doesn't exist but I've known that a long time. Florida is one of those odd mixture places. People in the upper regions frequently have no earthly idea as to what other areas of the same state are like and vice versa. My cousins, who are originally New Yorkers transplanted to Connecticut, bought "a winter condo" here. They think of Florida as the tiny area of Boynton, another area further south and Miami Beach of old. We grew up all gathering at our grandparents' house in Miami Beach, us down from Alabama and them, from New York. They've never driven through Florida headed through the north part in this time period and have no idea. I do it all the time to go see friends and to go to Destin. I won't describe how I see it. It will absolutely be offensive. It''s changed but is largely the same song and dance of old with a somewhat different tune and slightly different choreography. That's not saying anything good. The Alabama style cultural indoctrination attempt on me when I was a child was largely a big backfire. The white conservatives scared me with the way they thought. I came down here a while after my parents did. I moved down from Tuscaloosa 45 years ago to discover that a lot of people were racist here, too. Some, just as bad as the ones back home but not as many and most not with the same fire breathing roar. I loved and still love some of those people back home. I just know the situation.
So in DeSantis’ Florida, state agencies can sponsor explicitly political advertising — aimed at influencing the outcome of a vote — but private citizens get threatened with prosecution if they do the same in support of an issue DeSantis opposes.

I'm certain someone will confirm that in due time and that the free speech absolutists will summarily gloss this over or ignore it altogether (even though it is an actual threat to real free speech).
Keep in mind the law being cited pertains to septic and sewer and similar conditions that threaten public health (like an anti-vax guvna?).
