Blackwell is apparently going to Illinois from something’s his dad has said and connections there.

Bryson Tiller from Kansas might be guy we look into. We were after him out of high school before he chose Kansas in 2025.

Donnie Freeman out of Syracuse is another guy that we offered scholarship too out of high school and we’re one of his official visits before he went to Syracuse.

Thomas Dowd might be another guy to watch out of Troy. Gives me lot of Grant Nelson vibes. Athletic stretch 4 type with high motor and big time rebounder.

As of right now I don’t think we look at shooting guards or small forwards as we are pretty stacked at that position. I think Point Guard and bugs will be were we look.

I'll add those guys to the list tomorrow.
I think we take guard if there's better one out there.
 
Interested to see if we keep Bristow and Colins. If they are transferring out then we are going to have a really big portal haul this offseason.

I wouldn't be mad either way, I'd like to see what both could do while healthy.

We have 3 graduate. 1 in draft. 3 incoming. 3 in portal. So we need at least 4 from portal now.

If Collins has a heart issue, can that get better?

He was a mystery. I remember the 1st game he played in. He looked like he could really provide something.

But, as you mentioned, his defense. To me, he looked lost. Almost like he had never learned the basics of help side defense.

But he also looked out of sync even on offense.

I wonder if he's just the rare freak athlete who doesn't understand the "team" concept???

I think Bristow stays. He made an impact early last year before he was injured. If he adds some good weight, it would be even better. But I've heard the staff likes what he can offer.

Collins could be a beast. Remember, he was only HS Sr. age last year. He reclassified. So, if he's been cleared to play (that's what I heard) it's like he'd be a true freshman, age-wise. He has the biggest body of any player from last year's roster.

Supposedly was cleared to play...that's what was out there recently.

Rob Wright from BYU entered the portal. He could be a guy to replace Holloway. I know everything from Aiden, his lawyer, and CNO say he could be back but I just don’t think the charges get blown off unless something new comes up.

I'm curious to why you think he replaces Holloway?

I'm not understanding why people think he's not coming back to UA?

As it stands.... He was cleared to come back on the campus and attend class. He just need to get the charges handled and he can resume working out with the team. Oats want him back and Holloway want to come back. It depends on how things play out.
 
I wonder what value other teams' managers see in Bristow and Onyejiaka since neither had a chance to show improvement over this past season. Coach Oats knows more about them than anyone. If he likes one or both, Alabama may not have to put a lot of money into keeping them.

I really hope we do better in this year's transfer class. Little-to-no production whatsoever out of last year's (Williamson, Bol Bowen, and Bethea). I liked what little I saw from Bristow. Maybe he will stick around.
