Didn't see a thread discussing our matchup with Clemson, so here goes.

Clemson is the most complete team with the most talent that Alabama will face, IMHO. Alabama will have to bring it's A game (no, not it's spring game) to win. It's going to be a tough out.

Hopefully, Bama will be back closer to full strength and will make some needed adjustments across the board.

Wholesale changes are not needed (see Ole Miss 2015 loss with the QB change). A solid game plan with timely in game adjustments and better execution is what is needed.

What do you think?

I think it will be like the last two years. If Bama was to make it to the playoffs then i wanted to get Clemson because i think our players would be more motivated to beat them than any team not named Auburn. I think the key is stopping Renfro and finding points.

We need a much better performance than our last game on defense. This isn't the same Clemson team from the last two seasons. They're not as good in the throw game, so stopping the run is critical. Should be a fun game.

Alabama's offensive line will have to bring its lunch pail. Clemson has an awesome defensive line. Hurts can't have a repeat performance of Auburn against this defense.

Obvious respect to our opponent. I know their defensive line is awesome and Hunter Benfro has given us problems in past but I just don't see Jalen Hurts going 0-2 against Clemson and/or CNS loosing back to back to Clemson...... I sincerely hope JH and offense play with a chip on their shoulder. We will be prepared as ever. RTR

saban is the best in the business and will have the team ready to play. we will be playing either ou or uga for #17

3 things need to happen in my eyes for Bama to have success this game. our returning players from injury need too have an impact. 2nd, our coaches need to pick a rb and give him the majority of the carries instead of playing musical chairs. we dont need 3 RB's getting the same amount of carries. and third, we need to have a gameplan to attack with passing in case they commit to shutting down our run. whatever and whoever that gameplan revolves around is up to the coaches.

I think this is a GREAT round 1 matchup for the good guys. We are extremely familiar with scouting Clemson. THIS time we have a MONTH to prepare with no OC or DC distractions.

We definitely need to make some gameplan, playbook, play call, and player/roster adjustments within our own team too though. We can't just keep doing what we've been doing.

I also think we will have an emotional edge too. We will be disrespected all month, our #4 seed selection questioned, our Offense(Passing game) and Defense (Health/Depth) questioned etc etc.

THIS time WE will be the Hunter instead of the Hunted. Plus Dabo just messed up by voting us #5 in the Coaches Poll.

Our team is going to be MAD.....if we make the right adjustments in addition to creating a gameplan around our running game.... I like our chances VERY much.

Alabama will have to completely evaluate everything after the Auburn game. We played poorly in every phase of the game and need the extended time off to make adjustments and get healthy.

I'm thinking the success for this win will have to go through the O line. Trust me, I know it will have to be a team effort but i think our O line will have to be the difference-maker in this game. If we can have great success with the run game then we take this one. This 17 team has to make it their mind and focus to dominate.

Coach Saban said Hootie was definitely out for the playoffs, and he said Shaun Dion also. We should have the other LB's back. I'm no doctor, but they said Shaun Dion had no ligament damage. Any chance a miracle happens and Shaun Dion can come back.

If we do better on 3rd downs on both sides of the ball, we can win. Saban has a month to prepare them to do just that.

To tell the truth, I think it would be a big help if our leading rusher was somebody other than the QB !

Again, this game comes down to Alabama's offensive line. Clemson sacked Jarrett Stidham 11 times. Also, Alabama will have to stop Etienne, the running back for Clemson. He's explosive.
