I know there have been threads that somewhat cover this, but I am trying to put together a playlist that either mentions Alabama or Crimson Tide or Roll Tide or Bear Bryant in the song. I know of a few, but I am trying to find out what I missed.

Tim McGraw--Southern Voice
Buddy Jewell--Sweet Southern Comfort
Trace Adkins--Ala-Fricking-Bama
Steely Dan--Deacon Blues

of course there are songs that we have co-opted such as:
Sweet Home Alabama
Dixie Land Delight

You should download Saturday in Dixie and Just in the Nick of Time on iTunes or Amazon. Both about Bama football and both by Lance Brown.

Van Halen's "Feels so Good" has the line: 'Everyday, I watch the tide roll in'

Garth Brooks' "The River" has the line: 'Choose to chance the rapids, and dare to dance the tide.'

Both songs get a big hearty "ROLL TIDE!" every time I hear those lines.

"Deacon Blues" by Steely Dan:

(chorus)
"They got a name for the winners in the world,
And I want a name when I lose;
They call Alabama the Crimson Tide,
Call me Deacon Blues..."

Great song about Alabama: Warren Zevon's "Play It All Night Long"

Also, probably the only song ever written that mentions brucellosis.

But the all-time greatest song: John Coltrane's "Alabama"
