Interesting. AP shows Bama with 58 first-place votes and TX with 2. I'm surprised anyone would give TX a first-place vote considering what happened yesterday. Probably a couple of Texas homers wanting to ensure TX has enough points to not get jumped by TCU or Cincy.

Similar situation with USA Today. AL 54; TX 4; and Cincy 1. The Cincy vote is a real puzzler.

only 3 SEC teams included. At one time, we had 3 in the top 5 (that was, of course, before ol sis was exposed as the fraud we figured they'd be)

I would say more anti-bama than texas homers. we have beat 3 of the top 13 in the final rankings though....

#1

And we now know that Bama earned it.

It's such a sweet, sweet thing to see.

Shame on Bob Asmussen and Scott Wolf for giving Texas number one votes. They do not deserve a single number one vote as they have not earned it.

Cincy had a first place vote in the USA Today poll.

I was thinking the same thing. I understand the votes for Texas...but a first place vote for Cincy? Really? Anyone who watched BAMA bash the gators and also saw Cincy beat Pitt by one point shouldn't have a doubt about this week's poll. And no votes for TCU? Too much politics in the polls.

How did Boise State work out 13 regular season games?

Well , so far I'm 1 for 2 . Once the Harris Poll results are released TCU will be officially dead but , I am shocked Cincy is ahead of Fla in the coaches poll (by 40) . Heck , I felt the Gators had a fair chance of remaining ahead of them in 2 (USA & Harris) of the 3 polls . Maybe the Harris poll will be a little different - usually is .

Bob Asmussen (Champaign, Illinois News-Gazette) and Scott Wolf
(Los Angeles Daily News) both have Texas #1 and Bama #2.

Re: Alabama #1 Both AP & USA Polls

Did anybody notice in the coaches poll that Troy received 3 votes, but the barn is nowhere to be seen.

And not just unranked, but with fewer votes than Montana or Nevada! Heck, Troy has more votes than the barn, heh heh.
The SEC may have looked down this year, but we had two teams that went 8-0 that effected the rest of the leagues records. How often does that happen
in a league........never?

I still think Auby should be no higher than the former Peach Bowl. The Bowls are really strange this year due to all the 7-5 records.

The only reason malzahn won't get a HC gig is because of his public speaking skills. He is the reason for their improvement imo.
