Alshon's 'extra' weight aside, and 80% of what he'd carrying can be shed in a camp, I hate the way modern uniforms fit. They're just too tight. I know it's to eliminate people grabbing, blocking, tackling, etc. Don't know why but I really loved the ole tear away jerseys of the late 80s and even enjoyed the look through most of the 90s... Florida QB short sleeve jersey look aside.

just my $.02

Jerseys are tight, but his jersey isn't the reason for that. He's gained some weight.

You can really tell in the arms. The tone just isn't there. I'm agreeing with other posters that this is 10-15 lbs of bad weight.

That's disgusting. People like Alshon have no respect for the people that have to look at them. Weary baggy clothing or something. Better yet don't leave the house.

Speaking of uniforms does anyone know if we went to the Pro Combat jerseys as our full time uniforms? I'm not talking about the design we had for State but the uniform and fabric itself. I noticed it while I was looking at the pictures from media day. They look exactly the same to me.

The Pro Combat version has that annoying shield on the collar instead of the circle. The circle is much more classic. The shield is too medievally, it's not like we're the England Knights or something. And then the Houndstooth and the pants it's just way too busy.

That's not Christian Jones. Pretty sure that is the "model" for when Nike unveiled the Nike Pro Combat jerseys that teams would use for certain games.

GMac, pretty sure Chapman is wearing the Pro Combat in that picture. The jersey doesn't have the things you mentioned because those were just for the game UA wore them for Nike. They weren't permanent changes.

No offense, but there is not a team in the SEC or nation for that matter, that wouldn't love to have AJ as a apart of their wide receiving corps in 2011. We can make fun of his not so svelte body all we want, but when it comes to playing football, this guy is one of the premier in the game...bottom line!

its pretty bad when your best wide receiver has a bigger waste measurement than a defensive lineman.
