Saw where it's still listed as TBA on rolltide.com. It's not on ESPN Gameplan's schedule yet either. Does anyone know how early they (Gameplan) generally make their final schedule decisions?

It should show up on the Gameplan before the first weekend. They have to see who pickes it up so they can work out a deal.

Do you mean that it should "if" they decide to show it or the it should because you're convinced that they will show it? I'm trying to figure out if I need to find a place in-state to drive to from Tallahassee to watch the game if it's only on PPV in-state!

Espn should put it on gameplan. They will have to wait to see who decides to broadcast it. I watch a JPN and a CTN broadcast last year on Gameplan. the broadcast are not the best but at least you get to watch the games.

Nashville to have game

It was in the Nashville Tennessean paper last week that the WB network has picked up the game locally here in Nashville (will air all MTSU games). You may verify- I think it was last Fridays paper by Mike Organ or call the TV station. This means there will be cameras at the games- which means there should be some type of pay-per-view.
;)

So you guys are still holding out hope that it will be on ESPN Gameplan?? I have been bumming for the past couple of weeks since seeing Gameplan's schedule for opening weekend and it not being there. I was thinking that maybe it was an issue with the kickoff time. It kind of falls right in the middle of the 4 games they have scheduled to start at 3:30 ET.

I hope they still add it, but nothing yet.

Assuming it's not on Gameplan but is on "other" PPV, that means it'll onely be available in AL and TN, right? If so, anybody have any good suggestions for watering holes likely to have the game on as close to Tallahassee as possible? (I'm assuming this probably means around Dothan...)

I would say with 99% certainty that it will be on GamePlan. All of the PPV broadcasts for the last 2 or 3 years have been and ESPN likes to pick up all of the big-time schools that they can in order to increase subscription. Tom Roberts has also stated on "Hey Coach!" the last couple of weeks that they will give out the channel numbers for DirecTV and Dish Network for GamePlan as soon as they are finalized.

Anyone know if CSS and or FSN will be re-playing the games later in the week? I know last year the Bama games were on Fox Sports South on Tues afternoons, and I was wondering if anyone has heard or knows if that will continue?

Boy I hope this means something!! At the risk of sounding silly, who is Tom Roberts?

I hate to sound like a sourpuss, but I think it's ridiculous that you can't get a broadcast of a soldout football game.

Anyone know what happened to the deal with FSN? A month or two ago that was listed as TV next to the first game on rolltide.com. They must have not been willing to give what Bama's used to getting.

Hey, remember when TBS used to show SEC games?

Popechild...here is the deal...

If you are in Tallahassee, your best bet for any game not televised nationally is to get with the local Tallahassee Alumni Chapter. Assuming they have a deal with a bar (I would almost guarantee they do) any game...including PPV games that are "only" shown in the two states of each team can still be picked up with C-Band Dish's, that 99.9% of bars have. All the chapter has to do is contact the University and they'll be given the exact coordinates so they can pick the game up. I lived in Texas for 11 years and we got every game regardless of who Bama was playing.

Here is the Tallahassee Chapter President's info!

If you do end up going to Dothan, I recommend Jakes, at the intersection of US 231 and Ross Clark Circle, on the southern end of town. It's a sports bar and grill in the Holiday Inn South. The food's good, the beer's cold, the game's usually on the big screen, and the wait staff is mmm mmm good!

I thoughat all Tide fans knew who this man was. Tom Roberts is part of the Bama broadcast team. He usually does part of the pregame show along with Eli Gold. He also does the Tide basketball games with Chris Stewart. He has been around Bama athletics for many years. At times he has hosted the football coach's review show. I think he did it with Dubose and maybe Stallings for a while. Also he has been a part of some of the Bama's greatest games videos as the host. I do not know his official title at Bama but it has to do with media relations. I think he may work for Crimson Tide Sports Marketing.
