any news on MO???

I was watching the news the other night and MO was attending the funeral service for the track star who recently passed away, so he is still in Tuscaloosa. I dont know when the deadline is for declaring for the draft, but you would think he would have allready announced if he wasn't goin to be wearing Crimson and White next season...RTR

May 12 is the deadline. I think as of right now only 8 players have said they were leaving early. I might be wrong on that number, but I think it is only 8 right now. There were 48 in 02, 31 in 01, so if the trend needs to stay consistent, there's a lot of ground to make up.

I might be wrong, but I think that is the deadline to withdraw your name from the draft...I looking for a link as we speak.

They SAY he's EXPECTED to go pro. It is a link though, and the more I here of him going, the sadder I get.

I think it is June 25 is the draft, if not somewhere pretty darn close to it.

I have checking al the mock drafts in my spare time, & Mo is somewhere as high as 20 & low as 34, but I am like everyone else...Don't go Mo.

I just don't think Mo has a choice in the matter. Gottfried is going to play him at the 2 next year and Mo can't go through that again (as it happened the last half of the season this past year). It hurts Mo's NBA stock to play the 2, as he will play the 1 at the next level. Why stick around for another year if you are being played out of position, potentially to experience a setback, for an entire season. I'm sure it just wouldn't be worth it to him to digress his natural point guard and ball-handling talents.

I love CMG. I think he is right for this University no matter what he went through this past season. But Gottfried plays his players how it will help his team the best, which he should do. He doesn't play his players in ways that will help them get to the next level (i.e. Gerald Wallace). So, I just believe Mo has been left no choice but to bolt to the pros where he can learn the 1 and be a starting PG in two or three years.

I agree with the last post in that Mo is going to play out of position. But, how many top flight point guards in the NBA, can't shoot the rock??

I think playing the 2 is important for Mo, in that he got more Assists playing the 2 last year than he did playing the point. Pettway made Mo tons better.....he really did.

Mo is more of an Iverson type Pt Guard....or maybe Marbury is a better comparison.... but either way, playing the 2 or, maybe more like 1A....didn't hurt him.....I think it helped round out his game, quite a bit!
