I will be going over to Oxford for the game and trying to decide if I will need a room for Friday night or Saturday night????????

Stay in Memphis. Do the weekend. Enjoy yourself. Leave Oxford to the bear/rebel hybrid thingy they're trying to sell in that neck of the woods.

I'm coming from Birmingham so Memphis is not exactly on my way; gonna stay in New Albany MS. Been to Memphis did the tourist stuff on our way to AR game 3 years ago... :D

Difficult to predict the game time because there is no rhyme or reason for the ESPN group. They already have games scheduled between Noon and 9:15 PM in the first 3 weeks. SC at MSU will probably be the CBS game at 3:30ET. UGA at Vandy will probably be the SECTV game at 12:15ET. That leaves Bama-UM for ESPN. Best bet there is a 6 or 7ET start on ESPN or ESPN2.

They have beer sales now in New Albany.

Bears wearing hats don't care what time of day it is....they welcome you onto their field and allow you to slaughter them.

Thanks this helps!!! I really hope it is a late Sat. game myself; I've been to many games over at Ole Sis but never a night game.
