I haven't seen anything about ticket sales or even what it feels like in New Orleans. We have not played well in hostile environments thus far (College Station, Lee County, Starkville). The secondary market doesn't seem too hot for tomorrow. Anyone have any info?

Clemson outnumbers is in NOLA presently, but many Bama fans are in Biloxi. By game time I suspect a 60-40 split Clemson’s way

Why should we be out traveled 2 years in a row? Are people saving their money for the championship? According to this article The Tide has the best fan base in college football. http://fanindex.usatoday.com/2016/12/09/the-10-best-fan-bases-in-college-football-2/
Yeah, that is really garbage when you consider that this is Clemson's 5th playoff game in a row, too - and their fan base is tiny compared to Alabama's.

A possibility - too many Alabama fans seem to have already given up on this year's Alabama team. Read the posts on this board - the most sane board on the web has Alabama fans picking this team apart. Why would people who think like that spend thousands of dollars?

In 2012 we travelled down on game day, kicked LSU's butt and then we stayed in NOLA for about 3 days and had the city to ourselves. It was glorious!

Non-scientific but I’m seeing a good many more Clemson’s here in NO. Maybe more Bama fans are staying inside out of the cold and wet today. Lively, friendly crowds, though.

There’s definitely an enthusiasim gap between the two fan bases—and I think it will manifest itself in NOLA. Honestly, I think a lot of Bama fans are still upset about the iron bowl( I know I sure am) and just cannot understand how we we were not more prepared for that game and it has simply put a damper on the end of the season. Others I think have just concluded that we were exposed late in the season and we were never as good as they originally thought, so why invest so much emotionally (and financially)in the post season.

Either way, we are simply a spoiled fan base.

A fan base afraid to get emotionally invested in its team - probably an apt description of the Alabama fan base right now. After the Clemson let down last year and the Auburn let down this year - just afraid to commit.

Take this for what it’s worth Alabama fans are broke and to a degree spoiled. Many of them are Saving up for the championship. Take into account that we’ve been to Pasadena, Arizona, Miami, and New Orleans/Atlanta numerous times over the last 11 years. Clemson has not traveled nearest much as we have and a trip to New Orleans is something that they rarely If ever have done in their lifetime’s. Meaning of the Bama fans who are going are staying in Biloxi, Gulfport, and Ocean Springs because it’s way cheaper to do so then to getting caught up in that catastrophe call New Orleans. I remember in 2014 when Ohio State had a 70 to 30 Advantage on us on Bourbon Street and in the dome and the major excuse for that was we were saving up for Dallas so I think it’s the same thing here.I still expect us to have 40 to 45 percent of the down so it’s not near as bad as to thousand 14 but I still think mini Bama fans are going in order to Potential he have enough money to go to Atlanta if we should make it

LOL I’m using speech to text while posting because my hands are too cold to type. I’m going to be in the dome tomorrow in Crimson and in New Orleans shortly but I’m just stating the facts that going to the 1989 and 92 sugar bowls when we were hungry for big games is a lot different and then going to the semi final playoffs while we’ve been on a huge run under Saban For the last 11 years

My guess is a lot of Bama fans have checked out. The Iron Bowl shopping left a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths.
Then explain 2014. Anyone Who went would know that there are whole Bunch more buckeyes in the Quarter and in the dome than Bama fans when bama was the odds on favorites to win it all after winning the SECCG and beating Auburn
