I hope he keeps up the positive attitude- old habits die hard for everybody. This is something I’ve learned personally as well in the last few years as I have a habit of concentrating on what went wrong over what went right- it is actually much more productive to focus on what you or the organization did well and how you can expand that than it is to critique every little thing that went wrong. In my last job/position one of my responsibilities was providing feedback to outside organizations on their performance. I realized a little too late that I was probably being overly negative and focusing too much on what they messed up vs what they did well. Ironically I started kicking myself over that.
All this is to say, I totally get where Ty is coming from and I think if he can stay positive and not revert to old habits of negative critique then I think we’ve got a really good shot at a title this year. I also think- I hope unselfishly- that another year at Alabama as a starter would really help him transition well into the NFL. One year of learning the ropes as a starter with high level competition is rough!
