Jefferey was a sophomore this year and Lattimore a freshman. How can we possibly know who is going to be the next stars after they leave?
if any.....

If you also look at the talent in SC after this year it really drops off at the HS level. As I have said before if they can not start pulling top out of state talent it really will not matter if they get JC.
Its not smart for anyone projected in the top 5 of the NFL draft to return....can you really improve your posuition that much, against the possibility of an injury? I knew Julio was gone, and Jeffries will be too...as he should.
But, fans love to dream, dont we?
I'll be glad for this thread to end and JC to make a decision, I'd absolutely love to have the guy in Crimson. However, just because he is the #1 player in HS doesn't mean he will be the best player in college. He will have to put in the work to continue to improve at a high level.
Is it just me, or has one season really gone to a certain fanbase's head? 9-5 seasons put coaches on the hot seat at Bama.
Alabama recruiter Chris Rumph is scheduled to visit Clowney on Thursday, and Clemson coaches are also expected to see him this week. Clowney is scheduled to visit Clemson this weekend. He's made official visits to USC and Alabama. As of Wednesday he's still planning to announce his decision February 14th.
I will be glad when its over too..BUT call me a homer or a drunk on the Crimson kool-aid if you wish, I get this feeling JC will be in Crimson.
If the OV to Clemson is still going I've got to like our chances of getting him a little bit more. Not saying we're getting him but the fact that he'll see a different college campus to compare to USCe and UA will help as well as Dabo being a former UA football player and coaching the rival to USCe and clearly not wanting him to go to the rival couldn't hurt our chances. No clue where he goes but I don't think it's a lock by any means
The only way this guy is not a top 5 pick no matter where he goes is if he gets injured. Now having said that if he goes to SC he might get as high as the number 2 pick but if he comes to Bama he is locked in to the number one spot.I don't really follow recruiting to heavily, but if JC wants a chance of being picked higher in the NFL he may want to head a little farther South than Columbia,SC.

You can't say that. The draft order depends on who's available and the needs of the team.
Funny but insightful analysis from a journalist & buddy of mine on Clowney. Here's what he said:
Watching Jadeveon Clowney footage. The "here he is" arrow is so useless. This is frightening. Clowney looks like Jason, man. Think he's gone? Nope. Just on the way. And he took a shortcut. And he brought an ax. That said, are double teams not allowed in South Cack (South Carolina)? There's one poor kid being embarrassed on each play. We got a copy of his birth certificate? He can't be the same age as these other boys. That's not possible.
Sounds about right.
