Per BOL. Rex Burkead the #48 Athlete in the nation will visit the capstone Wednesday. I have seen a few clips on him and he looks like a gifted athlete. The guys on the BOL rave about this kid saying he is the second coming of Craig Steltz.

Burkhead visited Auburn on Tuesday. Burkhead has offers from Auburn, Texas A&M, Michigan, Alabama, Cal, Kentucky, Louisville, Nebraska, Stanford, Texas Tech and Virginia among others. Burkhead has listed no favorites at this time.

This is some very good news. I am glad to hear that one of the nation's top athletes is visiting Tuscaloosa and that he is seriously considering Alabama.

Holy cow. That move he put on the gunner in the punt return in that first vido was jaw-dropping. I wouldn't mind having that young man in my defensive backfield or returning punts. I think we could make some room for him, what about you guys?

I really like the way this guy plays. He looks like he plays with the "I will not be denied" mentality. Hope he is seriously considering Bama. And why is he rated as the 40th Athlete in Texas are there really 39 other "Athletes" in Texas better then him.

Looks like a good talent in the clips. Hard to see where he would fit with the limited spots left in this class. Anyone know how his visit went Wednesday?

From all reports Burkhead's visit to Alabama on Wednesday went really well. He camped at Alabama last summer and he seems very interested in Bama. He is going to narrow down his list to a list of favorites soon. Hopefully Bama will make the cut and get an official visit.
