I cant find a thread on him anywhere. Does he have a committable offer? I saw he has been moving up on a lot of teams list. Also is this son of Beasley from Auburn back when Sullivan was playing? If so do we even have a shot at this guy?

He performed well at a recent Nick Saban Football Camp, and recieved a solid offer.

Victor is in fact the son of a former Auburn defensive back. However, he isn't too interested in Auburn, or their gimmick recruiting tactics.

DB? So it's not the WR from back in Sullivans days? What was his name? Terry Beasley?

Bama is the clear leader right now. I'm fairly certain he has a committable offer. His measurables are outstanding.

Be prepared for a wild ride with Beasley. He's one of those guys we've jumped on early and will probably get a commitment out of before too long.

However, he'll also probably end up with an offer from Georgia later on in the process and feel the heat coming on down the stretch.

Even if he commits, be prepared to sweat it out in February.

As I mentioned in the other thread Andrew Bone says it has always been about Alabama for Victor Beasley. I wouldn't worry about UGA too much on this one, even if they do offer. I honestly believe once Victor decides he is fully ready to commit and CNS gives him the green light, Beasley won't take any more visits.

Thursdays 7-on-7 tournament in Mountain Brook coaches were blown away by his performance on both sides of he ball.

His stock is going to shoot through the roof over the next few months and im glad we got on him early. With his size and speed he's a freakish athlete that can play almost anywhere on the field. I don't want this one just to drive the boogs crazy i want him because he's going to be an outstanding player.

From Andrew Bone, 7/10/09

"Beasley told me yesterday it didn't matter which schools offer him. He has the offers that he wants.

He is receiving a lot of family pressure to take some visits before making a decision. This is why he is saying a decision will likely come after the season.

Beasley loves Alabama."

Why hasn't Mark Richt offered him?

There were quite a few things I heard down in here about Julio Jones that never seemed to get any traction around the state and elsewhere. One rumor was that early on, Julio and Robert Lester went to Auburn and were snubbed by Tuberville, and that once Julio had become All-World, then Tuberville wanted him, and the word was that because of the previous snub by Tuberville, Julio not only wasn't going to give Auburn the time of day, he and Lester, the rumor went, "hated Auburn."

Could that be why Beasley has said that he has all the offers he wants? "A friend in need is a friend indeed," but if you don't befriend him when he is in need, chances are, he won't befriend you when the tables are turned.

Here's a little update:

By Eric Guimaraes
ATH Victor Beasley (6-4 220) of Adairsville, GA will be visiting Clemson tomorrow. "I've been up there before," he said. "I just want to get my family to see the schools I'm interested in." Beasley says he has narrowed his list to six. They are Clemson, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Duke, and Louisville. "I like Clemson because it's a simple school. I love that they are building a new weight room and I felt comfortable there," said Beasley. He says we will visit Alabama next. Beasley plays both ways and says Clemson likes him on both sides of the ball. "They said I could either play outside linebacker or a slot/tight end type position," according to him. Beasley did not name a favorite and says he is not ready to commit.

I found the article again.

LB Victor Beasley (6-4 220) of Adairsville, GA made an unofficial visit to Clemson Friday with his parents. "It went great," Beasley said Friday night. "They toured us around the place and we got to meet the coaches again. I brought my parents and they fell in love with the place. They showed me the depth chart and if I came there where I would fit in." Beasley met with Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney but did not commit. "I told them give me about a week," Beasley said. "I'm down to Clemson and Alabama. Alabama is leading. When I visited there (Alabama), I just fell in love with the place. The coaches are great. The facilities are great. And the way they treat their players is great." Beasley did not have a timetable for next week for when he'll make his decision.

Misleading. After the visit Phil Kornbult are reported, 'Beasley met with Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney but did not commit. "I told them give me about a week," Beasley said. I'd be surprised if Beasley didn't pick Bama. I think the staff wants him and he's obviously extremely high on us. He'd be a great pickup.
