Mr. Ridpath is right the SEC is a 24/7 football fans smorgasbord. The Ncaa will pull the Wag the Dog in order to protect the Big 10 and Notre Dame and look at secondary infractions as major when it comes to SEC teams."I don't think it's fair to say the SEC is worst," said David Ridpath, an assistant professor of sports administration at Ohio University and executive director of The Drake Group, which advocates comprehensive reform of college athletics.
"I've always believed the mid-majors are the worst because they're trying to keep up with the big schools and they cut corners to do so.
"I think the reason the SEC gets more attention is because if you have a secondary violation at Alabama, Auburn or Mississippi State, the media interest and Internet buzz it generates is huge. The perception is that they must be doing nefarious things, and that's not fair."
AU is tied for third place with 7 infractions cases and they are still claiming that they are running a very clean and tight ship in Lee County.
Also, if you look at Seven of the SEC's most famous infractions, Alabama is at the top of the list.DAMN I DIDN'T SEE BAMA ON THE LIST IT MUST BE BIASED!! LMAO.... ChopblockU is up there though!!
So unlike the other schools, we were not directly involved. Yet we get hammered the worst and get threatened with the death penalty! Also, if you look at Seven of the SEC's most famous infractions, Alabama is at the top of the list.
However, of the seven, Alabama is the only one in which the infractions were conducted only by boosters. In the other six, the coaching staff and administration were involved.
Knew we had to be on some list somewhere besides most National Championships!!!!Also, if you look at Seven of the SEC's most famous infractions, Alabama is at the top of the list.
