I'm sure it has everything (ahem) nothing to do with Texas wearing orange this past weekend and "woulda beat Alabama if Colt Ewers hadn't got hurt."

I was reading from an Auburn source yesterday that Senator Tubs was gonna do this about 20 years ago, looked at what they looked like, and called an audible right before the start of the game. Orange is NOT a color that lends itself to great TV on a football field.

That way they could come onto the field with the cheerleaders waving “jack-o’-lantern“ flags, have Jimmy Rane on the sideline in his yellow fella cowboy outfit, Tommy Tubberville dressed as Alfred E Newman, and Harsin on the sideline as Bozo the Clown.

One of the very few things AU has going for it, maybe the only thing, is the navy blue jerseys. The downplaying of the orange in the uniforms.

I think this, more than anything else, signals that the Brian Harsen era at AU is not long for this world.

Well it's been said that Clemson is Auburn with a lake.... So this tracks.

Reason their school colors are orange and purple are because of some faded Auburn jerseys. The blue ones turned purple in the wash. The orange ones were less dramatically altered and as a result were used as their primary school colors.

I would love to see Auburn in orange jerseys. What the hay...go ahead and break out the orange helmets, pants, and cleats as well. Go all in...orange head to toe.
