Re: Auburn Lucks Up Again - LSU Could Suspend 3 Key Players, including Tyrann Mathieu
You may be right. It's just hard for me to see it being close, given the talent gap between the two teams...
I think that is the point, Earle nobody sees this game being close. Everyone seems to think because LSU has more talent and better coaching and the game is in Baton Rouge that it is going to be a walkover. You would think by now that anyone who posts on this site knows that au is the Jekyll and Hyde of college football. You simply cannot predict what will happen in any game they play.
They have no dependable QB, they have no receivers, their OL is inexperienced, their RBs are fair. Their defense is like a giant piece of swiss cheese, yet they hang on and somehow beat teams that are on their level or maybe slightly better. We should have mudholed them in 2009, but we had to come from behind to win by 5 points. We had them down for the count last year and they get up off the mat and find a way to win. Now I am not comparing their team last year with this year's team, but my point is simply just because we all hate au and make fun of the fambly they should never be taken lightly.
From what I have observed this year about both LSU and au, from these observations and certainly on paper, with or without Mathieu and Ware, and au giving an inexperienced QB his first start LSU should mudhole them. I certainly hope au is embarrassed in Baton Rouge and I do think LSU wins, but don't be surprised if this game is much closer than most expect. Who shows up in Baton Rouge, Jekyll or Hyde?
