This guy's either a barner or a younger breed of Bama fan...you know, more tolerant toward the barn. He probably pulled for AU last year against Oregon because they're from the SEC.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
your gonna have to throw me in that group of the younger generation...most of my friends are barners and they rooted for bama against texas so i returned the favor (it was a one time thing...i hope) ...its weird.. i know some of the nicest barners around..i have a doctor who is a big auburn fan who after the bama vs florida game in 09 came in and congratulated me on bamas national title. i told him to cool it with that talk because we hadn't even played texas yet. he then talked about what a great coach saban is....i mean this guys son ( also increadibly nice) goes to auburn. I mean what do you say to that??? my best friend adam says that he hates lsu more than alabama and wants bama to knock the crap out of them. and says while he wants auburn to beat bama every year...deep down he respects bama and saban. most barner strangers i meet are complete whiners and jerks and i took a lot of crap from friends of friends and i do have an old barner friend that makes wretch when i talk to him about football cause he so clueless and throws out the whole "you didn't go to bama" crap. but its like i know the couple of good ones as well. don't get me wrong...i hate auburn....i mean i really hate them and i am not gonna say their dreaded phrase ever. but it puts me in a weird situation, and i am an sec homer and don't want to see the sec lose its power....my situation is complicate ok lol. so yeah im gonna take up for the guy who said that phrase...against my better judgement. :(

Re: Auburn Lucks Up Again - LSU Could Suspend 3 Key Players, including Tyrann Mathieu

I don't hate Auburn the school, in fact my best employee and some of my best friends are barn fans. Did they root for Bama against Texas? Don't know, didn't ask and don't care. Did I root for AU against Oregon? Heck no. I couldn't care less if they ever won another game. Here's hoping LSU lays 50 on 'em.

That's what evolves over years of being a Bama fan. You realize your not gonna change their mind, and they're certainly not gonna change mine, so the best course of action among old friends...is to keep your Ala/AU opinions to yourself, and they do likewise.

getting back on topic..their is something ive wanted to say about this situation most of the day and im gonna have to take off my bama cap to say it as a person because i know its gonna sound bias because i don't like lsu. I think its really not about the fact that they did weed....its about the fact that they don't respect the team enough to follow the rules...you can say "well yeah jefferson didn't start the fight..blah blah blah" but he and his friends broke curfew..i don't care if its a tradition to do that what does it say about the respect they have for the coach..that they just do that. Now you have these guys saying "bad things happen " or "im the honey badger i can't be stopped" after violating team rules its kind of clear they don't care. so what??? your gonna sit them out in a game where they are a three touchdown favorite. they aren't gonna care they are gonna view it as "hey look i got the saturday off and i can rest and get ready for the bama game" thats not punishing them they are just gonna think "well i play so well they can't keep me out of the bama game" it shows a lack of respect for your team and your coach....and your fans. so yeah i think they should sit the bama game and im saying this as a MAN not a bama fan. and if it was the other way around i would believe coach saban would do the same thing. if les sits them for the bama game it sends a message that they are not above the team and they are not above the rules...i don't care if its weed or curfew or whatever. You have a responsibility to a team.

I don't think you're biased at all and I agree. I don't like the "convenient" time outs. With my kids, their time outs came when it was most inopportune for them. That sends a message...

well...im a guy thats just now getting it...my parents were good parents but sometimes i wish they had let me crash and burn a couple of times. and i wish i had done team sports in high school so i could have learned the values of self-discipline and being part of a team.. i thought i was super slick..i was the ultimate oppurtunist that always got away with it.. the problem was is that i was a little too good at it. and eventually i started playing the odds to much instead just doing things the right way and really trying and beliving in myself ( i had very low self esteem..so i put up a front). and then i got sloppy and my personal problems bled into my life at school. and you wake up one day and you realize that even though you have talked your way out of so many jams and you buck the system a bunch of times...you have really just fooled yourself. the reason i know that those players won't learn anything is because ive been given those same slaps on the wrist my whole life....and every time i just started trying to buck the system again and went back trying to get away with whatever i could.

Re: Auburn Lucks Up Again - LSU Could Suspend 3 Key Players, including Tyrann Mathieu

Suspensions of key players may affect the line, but not the winner. The Barn could easily be a four or five loss team right now and have not looked good against some teams that are turning out to be not very good themselves. I think LSU wins and makes them look pretty bad in the process. The Hat will outcoach the Windshirt, too.
I could not disagree more.

The barn is by no means the best coached team in our conference, but they DO have players, and I can't think of any more motivation than playing the no. 1 team on their homefield for motivation. Don't be surprised if this one is decided LATE in the fourth qtr--I think the barn will lose but if they play it close they will use that as a springboard against us and their remaining opponents.

You may be right. It's just hard for me to see it being close, given the talent gap between the two teams...

I think that is the point, Earle nobody sees this game being close. Everyone seems to think because LSU has more talent and better coaching and the game is in Baton Rouge that it is going to be a walkover. You would think by now that anyone who posts on this site knows that au is the Jekyll and Hyde of college football. You simply cannot predict what will happen in any game they play.

They have no dependable QB, they have no receivers, their OL is inexperienced, their RBs are fair. Their defense is like a giant piece of swiss cheese, yet they hang on and somehow beat teams that are on their level or maybe slightly better. We should have mudholed them in 2009, but we had to come from behind to win by 5 points. We had them down for the count last year and they get up off the mat and find a way to win. Now I am not comparing their team last year with this year's team, but my point is simply just because we all hate au and make fun of the fambly they should never be taken lightly.

From what I have observed this year about both LSU and au, from these observations and certainly on paper, with or without Mathieu and Ware, and au giving an inexperienced QB his first start LSU should mudhole them. I certainly hope au is embarrassed in Baton Rouge and I do think LSU wins, but don't be surprised if this game is much closer than most expect. Who shows up in Baton Rouge, Jekyll or Hyde?

I want them back for the Bama game so Trent can steam roll over Hony Badger  I don't want to hear the media and LSU fans they lost because of these suspensions.

Re: Auburn Lucks Up Again - LSU Could Suspend 3 Key Players, including Tyrann Mathieu

LSU is deep enough to beat Auburn W/O the suspended players.
Malzon will put in some trick plays to give Auburn a couple of scores.
Auburn may even burn LSU on a deep pass, but there's too much LSU
and not enough Auburn to change the outcome. (28-14)

For the love of God and all he holds dear, somebody in Baton Rouge needs to take away the Honey Badger's Twitter.

He tweets this: @TM7_Era: I want TO learn how to cook for #HER

And seconds later, it begins: @EnergyVampyre: Be careful not to add too many "Spices." RT @TM7_Era: I want TO learn how to cook for #HER
